Not worth the expense, low value Saturday, May 30, 2009
Super D from Seattle
I've used this on one high end project and don't think it's performance justifies the price. I think for most projects HD foam or even light memory foam would be a much better value. What we do and spend to just get a little better perceived performance sometimes..........?

Easy to install damping Monday, January 26, 2009
Mr. Anonymous from VA
I like using Sonic barrier as it is easy to install, just cut peel and apply. It s difficult to say how well it works as I did not run the speakers with no damping. The cabinets seem quite dead with the damping applied although there is still some minor vibration at low bass notes which only extreme bracing will overcome. A bit pricey but the easy of application makes up for the cost.

A little too pricey Monday, March 3, 2008
Chuck from Manalapan, NJ
I give this product only fair rating because although it does work quite well, when compared with conventional fiberglass insulation in identical large high-end vented type speaker enclosures, it was not that much better. In view of the rather high price and very heavy weight of the product, I m not sure it was worth it. I also found when experimenting with a scrap piece of the material for fire safety that it emitted an extremely toxic smoke when heated to melting temperature. I think I will just go with the fiberglass insulation for my other two identical cabinets. If it was priced much cheaper, I would say it s worth it. But it s a little too expensive for how much of an improvement I saw with it.
