Bad bare wire side entry design! Sunday, August 24, 2008
Bob from Wichita KS
Side entry holes are well chamfered, but center pocket is so deep that when screwing down to tighten, it will tend to shear the wire on sharp edge of chamfered side entry hole. They appear OK for use with banana plugs but for spades or bare wire thay leave a lot to be desired. I took the loss in purchasing these (based on past reviews), and I'm now ordering the BPA-38Gs which look much better in regard to my complaint.

High Quality for the Price Friday, May 16, 2008
TWM from Chicagoland
I did not actually use these binding posts since they turned out to be too long to fit my speakers due to the placement of internal bracing in my speakers. My fault. I did use the metal lock washers, however. These posts, if not to long for your application, seem to be very high in quality and very flexible in terms of the types of terminations you can use inside and outside the speaker. The posts need #10 O-rings/lugs to fit around them. The outside will accommodate very large-gauge bare wire and the edges of the hole through the post are nicely rounded so as not to shear off fine wire strands if you use bare wire connections as I like to do.
