Parts Express Steel Mesh 2-Piece Grill for 5-1/4" Speaker Black
A simple piece of paper instruction on how the "speed clips" are supposed to work would be nice. The mesh grill is way too loose to stay on inner ring even when flipped 180 degrees as mentioned above. Are the speed clips somehow supposed to solve this?
will these fit on the goldwood GM-85/4 midrange.
Yes this will fit and be slightly larger than that midrange. You may need to drill new screw holes for mounting.

will this work with a fostex Fe 103en? The speaker has a maximum diameter of 5 1/8" and is surface mounted so the ring would have to be at least this measure inside.
This will fit a speaker with a maximum diameter of 5-3/4" so this should work fine. You may have to drill new screw holes.

How Many Come In A Package 1 Or 2 Covers Not Explained
These are sold individually. If you order a quantity of one, you will get one 2-piece grill. If you need to cover two speakers, you will need to order two grills.

will this grill: Part # 260-420 work with this speaker: 294-1103? And if not, can you suggest a grill that will work with this speaker?
Yes this grill will cover that speaker although the speaker will have to be mounted separately from the grill since it will fit inside the mounting ring of the grill itself.

The grille just slips right off of the retaining ring. Is there some trick to getting these things to stay on?
If the grill is too loose to stay on, try flipping the ring 180 degrees. Usually the bent end will be slightly wider and provide a better hold on the grill itself.
