Parts Express Speaker Crossover 3-Way 8 Ohm 800/5,000 Hz 100W
Speaker Crossover 3-Way 8 Ohm 800/5,000 Hz 100W is rated 4.4531 out of 5 by 64.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid, well made crossoverI had built a pair of two way speakers, using a PE 260-174 crossover, 8" woofer (292-428) & 4" tweeter (270-018). It sounded good, except the bass was somewhat "boomy". I decided to try a three way version, so I got this crossover, and another 8" woofer, and divided the tower cabinet into two parts, with the tweeter & 8" (now a midrange) in the upper part, and the new 8" woofer in the bottom part. I sized the bottom part of the cabinet to equal the optimum sealed volume for the 8PR-8, and the bass is much tighter than it was in the first build. Thanks PE, for having the such a wide selection of parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great crossover for projects.I have a pair of AR 707 floor monitors that had a a 3.3mfd on the tweeter and a 16mfd on the mid. I installed these and they had a much cleaner sound to them. I compared 1 with this crossover & one with the original setup side by side and got much cleaner highs with the crossover.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from new life to old speakersthe crossovers I replaced were 43 year old hand maids. first I upgraded the horns with new tweets and replaced the drivers and had the 15 inch subs reconditioned.I don't do a lot of soldering but I did use a small heat sink. the connections were self explanatory, took about 1 and a half hours. they now sound incredible. thanks PARTS EXPRESS! I'm now ready for another bout with these speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product ..great priceI have Cambridge Soundworks Tower speakers. The tweeter crossover circuit was blown from playing too loud. It blew out the caps. I installed one of these in each speaker and I feel that for my taste, they sound better than the original ones. The mid is a little bright so I use a software equalizer to turn it down as the music is playing from the HTPC system. I would definately recommend this product.

Will This Crossover Work In A pair of Fisher ST-843 Tower speakers

Asked by: Topher1994
Unfortunately I cannot say without knowing the original crossover points. Do you have this information available?

Where is the input for the crossover? Is it the positive and negative over on the left side?

Asked by: Nihaal
Yes, looking at the photo on our website the input is on the left side, with positive being on top and negative (common) being on the bottom.

Would these three speakers work with this crossover: (Woofer) 295-301, (Midrange) 297-433, (Tweeter) 270-176?  I'm trying to go cheep, but decent for a sound bar type application?  Any mods needed to any of the speakers post xover hookup?

Asked by: Jellis3d
Yes those drivers will work with that crossover. The only addition you might need would be an L-Pad on the tweeter to help attenuate the output level, but this will be subjective.

Can these be used in a car audio application?

Asked by: nathan87007
Yes these can be used in car audio, but only if using 8 ohm drivers.

I have a 4 way system (two mid's) from a build i did like 20 years ago. could i use this crossover to run the woofer, one mid and tweeter. then run the other mid with just it's 33ufCap? All drivers are 8 ohm. and plan on upgrading with similar drivers.

Asked by: spur31
Technically this will work although the second mid will have to be wired separately from the crossover.

How much air is displaced by one of these when put inside the cabinet?

Asked by: oxrod
While these and all crossovers take up airspace, it is not enough to hinder in terms of box volume, tuning frequency or F3 numbers. After a very quick (not ideal) calculation, this crossover takes up roughly 0.004 cubic feet, or 0.11 liters.
