Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow!I have an old set of 3-way cabinets and I needed new crossovers. I decided on these mainly for their low cost. These arrived at my house in 3 days. I hooked them right up and they sounded great out of the box. I only have on question. Should I remove the tape from around the coils? Great product Parts-Express!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid, well made crossoverI had built a pair of two way speakers, using a PE 260-174 crossover, 8" woofer (292-428) & 4" tweeter (270-018). It sounded good, except the bass was somewhat "boomy". I decided to try a three way version, so I got this crossover, and another 8" woofer, and divided the tower cabinet into two parts, with the tweeter & 8" (now a midrange) in the upper part, and the new 8" woofer in the bottom part. I sized the bottom part of the cabinet to equal the optimum sealed volume for the 8PR-8, and the bass is much tighter than it was in the first build. Thanks PE, for having the such a wide selection of parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great crossover for projects.I have a pair of AR 707 floor monitors that had a a 3.3mfd on the tweeter and a 16mfd on the mid. I installed these and they had a much cleaner sound to them. I compared 1 with this crossover & one with the original setup side by side and got much cleaner highs with the crossover.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from new life to old speakersthe crossovers I replaced were 43 year old hand maids. first I upgraded the horns with new tweets and replaced the drivers and had the 15 inch subs reconditioned.I don't do a lot of soldering but I did use a small heat sink. the connections were self explanatory, took about 1 and a half hours. they now sound incredible. thanks PARTS EXPRESS! I'm now ready for another bout with these speakers.

Is this a LR2 crossover? Should I invert the mid or the tweeter? Or does it matter?

Asked by: Seantos

I am restoring a set of 3 way speaker boxes. Can anyone recommend a 2in tweeter, 4in mid, and 8in woofer? I will be hooking up this to my receiver to play vinyl records and want a clear separation of sound.

Asked by: KevinG

On my cabinets all are 8 ohm except the tweeter. It is 6 ohms. will this be O.K. or must I modify?

Asked by: Blaster man
This will work well with all those drivers, the difference in impedance on the tweeter will not effect things enough to matter.

I have read the previous questions but I'm not clear on this. Can I wire two 4 ohm woofers in series to achieve the 8 ohm load required? I will be using a single 8 ohm mid and a single 8 ohm tweeter.

Asked by: Ozzy88
Yes that will work fine with this crossover.

I have an application where I need a tweeter highpass and a bandpass mid, but no woofer. If I use just those two channels of the crossover will it still function correctly? Thanks.

Asked by: akmiller
Yes it will still work as it should, you do not have to use all three outputs.

Will This Crossover Work In A pair of Fisher ST-843 Tower speakers

Asked by: Topher1994
Unfortunately I cannot say without knowing the original crossover points. Do you have this information available?
