Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked perfectlyI needed a terminal configuration without internal tabs or connectivity. Due to size constraints on a small box conversion I made, I mounted my crossover outside on the back of the box. So my electrical connections were all external with only wires to the drivers inside, sealed through a hole in the box. I installed these pins by removing the nuts, drilling 3/16" holes in the box and epoxying them in place at the threaded end. The connections from the amp and to the crossover are common through the clamped end of the pin. Banana plugs and pins are still useable. Nice form factor. PE price is right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A decent valueThere are no instructions that come with these so I was a little puzzled as to where to solder the wires to these. I just wrapped the wire around the posts at the end and soldered there. It seemed to work fine even if it doesn't look very elegant. As someone else stated, the plastic washers will melt in this process if you aren't careful. I solved this problem by keeping the nut loose until the soldering was done and the unit was cooled. Then I tightened it. Otherwise the nut melts into the washer.Once installed, they work fine and the speakers sound great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent binding postThe post is excellent quality. The only problem does not come with solder eyelets to solder the wire. I recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the best, yet very cost effectiveNot the best, yet very cost effectiveFor a low budget project, you can t go wrong as the post accepts an 8AWG wire, banana plug or a large spade. As others have stated, the weak link is the soft red and black plastic collars. While I did not solder onto the post, I can see why they might melt. I found the post could not be secured very tight as the these soft collars also easily distort under load. For my high end projects I will not use this post, yet for less critical applications you cannot really complain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WIll never use cheap junk again!!these binding posts just make working with them a pleasure. They have a rubber style isolation washer on each side that grip well. The fit and finish really dress up my amp!!

I am upgrading a pair of KLH model 17's. I need a set of binding posts to go through the aluminum plate in the back and be insulated from the plate. Will these work? Its difficult to tell from the picture if the plastic piece at the base separates.

Asked by: JayMaq
Yes that insulator does separate for use on a metal chassis.
