Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very niceI used these to replace the dented dust caps on my JVC SX-F50 tower speakers. They were very easy to glue on. Took about 3 minutes each. They do not come with glue but I had some left over from replacing surrounds on a pair of Cerwin-Vegas! They material is shiny and pretty stiff. I wish they had a smaller size as they look pretty huge on my 7 inch woofers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the valueI was painting my 5 1/4 woofers black to match my see through grill and painted the original dust cap. There was drop in horn frequencies because I realised that the dust cap was acoustically transparent, allowing sound to pass directly through them. I bought these as a replacement and noticed that the material was solid all the way through, though the stiffness more than made up for horn frequencies. In fact, they're too bright in that area. (Crossover was set at 3500 Hz.) I'd recommend these only for replacement of solid dust caps, lower crossovers or if you have an equalizer to bring the horn freq. down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple fix for bad dust capsMy AR M2 speakers had a 2" rubber dust cap that rotted out. Removed the remains of the old caps and covered the hole with these 2 1/2" poly cap. Just superglued them in place. The speakers look like that always had them, perfect repair. Only problem was I thought I was only shipped one, the caps nest very tightly and the plastic is thin, to keep the weight to a minimum, it really looked like I only had one cap. Separating them into 2 pieces took a few moments but they eventually did seperate.

They are a perfect match and come in various sizes. Thanks for providing me these.

Parts Express 2-1/2" Poly Speaker Dust Cap

We need a poly dust cap 1,18" (3 cm). Are the inches on the site, the size of the speakers or from the dust cap? If it is from the dust cap, did you have a dust cap for us which will fit?

Asked by: Barbara
The sizes listed on our dust caps are the actual diameters of the caps themselves, not for the speakers they fit on.

If the dust cap is plastic, then this product would be suitable. If it's a paper dust cap, we do have a paper 2-1/2" cap as well, linked below for your convenience.
