Parts Express 10K Audio Taper Stereo Potentiometer 1/4" Shaft
The pot I need to replace only has 2 terminals on the 2nd layer opp. the shaft end would this still work ?
Could I just not use the center one that mine doesn't have? Also the other problem I see is mine needs to be a splined shaft, is this pot available with a splined shaft?
It is possible that the 2 terminal layer is a rotary switch. If you turn the pot from minimum to the right and hear a 'click', then it is likely a switch to turn on the unit, and then the pot varies the level of output. Pots by design require 3 terminals for operation.

In relation to the previous question asked, does Parts Express even have the correct pots for stereo panning/balance/fader controls? I've searched and can't find anything that's dedicated to this purpose.
Unfortunately we do not offer any panning or balance potentiometers.

Couldn't you flip the other channel's leads around on the pontentiometer to create a panning knob?
No, this potentiometer will not work as a balance control.

Can I use this to lower output of 3.5w tweeters
would like to balance sound of speaker build. It would be a total of 2 tweeters per channel. Is there a better pot to do this with? Thanks in advance!
The easiest way to bring down the level of a pair of tweeters like that would be with a stereo L-pad like the one below.

What are the exact dimensions of the potentiometer? Is there a data sheet with dimensions available?
Unfortunately, I do not have a datasheet available for this product. It will measure approximately 0.95" in diameter, 1.20" including the terminals. The depth will be 0.90", 1.50" including the shaft. If you require further measurements, please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-338-0531.
