Product Details

Panasonic SUPS135-11 Speaker Terminal Plate with Tweeter and Mid High Pass

Panasonic built the SUPS135-11 speaker wire terminal plate with crossover using a 100 µF series capacitor to create a 6 dB/octave, 200 Hz midrange high-pass (assuming an 8 ohm midrange), and a 1.2 µF series capacitor to create a 6 dB/octave, 5,500 Hz tweeter high pass (assuming an 8 ohm tweeter and accounting for the series 15 ohm resistor). The series 15 ohm resistor pads the tweeter's response by almost 6 dB for level matching to the midrange.

Dimensions: Overall: 2-9/16" H x 2-9/16" W, Cutout: 2-1/4"dia.

Panasonic SUPS135-11 Speaker Terminal Plate with Tweeter and Mid High Pass

purchased two of these. also purchased a pair of Lanzar MX4z 2 way. How would I wire these up, only two wires from the speakers ?

Asked by: jcfromnj
The speakers have a built in capacitor and are not designed to be wired into a two way crossover. You would have to bypass the capacitor and wire the woofer and tweeter separately, although there is no easy way to do this.

I recently bought a few of these and the specs say 2" cutout..but the cutout is too small..am I missing something here?

Asked by: ernj
We apologize, the cutout dimension for this terminal was incorrect on our website and will be updated.

Can you check the 1.2uF cap to confirm that figure is correct with a 15 ohm resistor to get the 5500 hz?

Asked by: navycdr1
Yes this has been confirmed accurate.

Is this terminal plate to be used only with a tweeter and mid, or is there some way to wire in a woofer as well?

Asked by: Wheezer
There is no way to wire a woofer directly to this terminal unfortunately.

Will this improve the audio of the Dayton Audio B652 speakers?

Searching the net I found a tutorial about how to improve the performance of the Dayton Audio B652 speakers. It involves soldering and shopping some, speaker plates capacitors and resistors. With this product the job is already done so if you are 100% positive that they will improve the sound of that speaker I'll definitely get them.
Asked by: BigLouis1971
There is already some filtering in your speakers. "Improving" the sound depends on your taste and hearing ability--we all hear & like different things. This filter setup is 6db per octave-A simple and cost effective way to balance and protect your components. One way to go is to buy these and install them--after you remove the already installed filters and listen. At this price point, you can't go wrong. An inexpensive way to go from novice to audiophile!!

help can someone show me how to wire these please? thank you

Asked by: to34
The black and yellow wires are for the tweeter, black being positive. The red and gray are for the mid, red being positive.
