NuVo NV-I8GMS Grand Concerto 6-Source 8-Zone Stereo System
I wondering can you tell me, Do I need the professional help to set up this system or I can do by myself? Thank you!
We do recommend having a professional help install this. They require specialized programming to set up.

I will be ordering one of these soon for a client. Is it all Cat5 and speaker wire? Do the keypads fit in a standard box for pre-wire?
If you have never worked with this system I would strongly recommend downloading the manuals for the system and keypad for reference and requirements. That said, it is standard wiring Cat5 from the keypad locations and 4 conductors of speaker wire (2 per speaker) back to the headend. If possible I usually run 2 Cat-5 and 16/4 to the keypad location then 16/2 from there to the speakers. This allows for future proofing and murphy.Again check the manual for the exact size of the keypad but generally it should fit in a "standard" square low voltage double gang box or P-type retrofit ring.

What all is needed for the system?
We already have amps, but are looking to switch systems. If we want to use the music port, what else is needed?
Systems like this can be configured many ways - to suit each persons requirements. You do not need to use the internal amps. There are fixed and variable outputs for each group/zone. On the PE page for this product - take a close look at the "manuals/resources" to see how you can hook up the system to fit your needs. Configuring these kinds of systems can be overwhelming - which is why home theater and whole house installers exist. Note that at the bottom of the product page PE states: "Note: Professional Installation Required. IR Programming via the Learning Station is required for system integration. If unfamiliar with programming please call first."
