How many mH's?

Thanks MattP. But taking: ID dia.=Height ; Q. a 100ft roll to a 1"diaID, 1" tall would give you a large inductor. No way to know how many mH 100ft would give - taking the previous sizes? Thanks.Stevo

You see Steve--winding your own coil is like winding a replacement voice coil in a compression driver. Really. It's one of those things that usually is just bought [made from a pre-sorted machine] and you get the exact mH number needed for a crossover coil. In all my years at this stuff, I've never wound my own. Sorry to sound like a "cop out" answer but that's what I dell the people who work for me. A good "air coil" is low cost as well. Nice project though.

mH's Possible?

I understand this is a difficult question to ask - but, what sort ofmH amount is possible if you were to use the "whole roll" into"one" inductor coil? Thanks so much!Steve [Aust.]
