from Good valueEasy enough to work with once you manage to get the strain relief seated properly, but after assembling a few white parts and then a few red I realized that the actual design of the business end is different on both of them. I cannot speak about the the black color, as I did not order any of those but I found it odd that the metal parts were not all the same regardless of the color of the body.

from Great Connectors!Let me start by saying: if you are looking for RCA connectors to repair a cable or make your own, BUY THESE!! These are great for professional use, High quality sound systems, home theaters, and prosumer applications. I have written a detailed review below:These Connectors are great because they are easy to solder, they have a plastic strain relief that's similar to Neutrik XLR connectors, and the size of the cable opening being that I was easily able to squeeze a 1/4" cable inside (the actual opening is slightly smaller, but the opening stretches a little.I do agree with what I have read in previous reviews that the connection when connecting to a female RCA is a little tight but I did not have any problems connecting to my equipment. I do view this to actually be a good thing because unlike a cheap and loose connection which easily can become accidentally unplugged, this tightness makes accidental disconnecting a thing of the past. My suggestion for dealing with these being too tight (if you find these are too tight to fit your connections) is simply using needle nose pliers and gently widening the ring till it fits your needs. BOOM DONE!These connectors are awesome to solder because of the half moon shape for the ground which gives you a lot of surface area to spread the braiding out allowing thicker gauge cables to be used and allowing the ground wire to lay flatter so you aren't fighting the fine line of trying to get enough solder on the ground wire while trying to not put so much solder on that the ground and positive are shorting. The plastic strain relief I have always been a fan of since I ran into it on Neutrik XLR connectors as they are super easy to put onto the cable after soldering as they clamp onto the cable with plenty of force but since it's plastic, I'm never worried about it actually damaging the conductors of the wire. I also like the half moon part of the strain relief that goes over top of all the wire and solder points so when the metal case screws on over top, it prevents accidental shorting to the case.EMM's last thought: It it's worth your time, might as well do it right.

from Pretty NiceI used a pair of these to replace the RCA's on my SL1200's after 10 years, which is pretty good for them to have lasted that long. I like them because they aren't very bulky and the connector seems to be designed really well. I think they will last for the life of my gear. The one thing I think could be approved is the cable restraint is a little cheap and didn't seem to be very strong but only time will tell. It could have also been the thickness of the jacket on my cables. I will definitely order more of them in the future.

from Misleading...These connectors are as described, but buyer beware! Not ONE out of the 16 connectors (individually packaged) came with the strain reliefs shown in the third picture. The only thing you get with these connectors is what is depicted in the second photo. I will be seeking a refund or asking PE to send me the strain relief as advertised. The OD of the connector as shown in the second photo accepts 4mm cable, no larger. Recommendation with reservation.

from Might be the best low cost RCA plug out thereThese are pretty good for the $$. I like the large soldering area on the outer connecter, and the color identification bands are a big help too. I just can't see shelling out big bucks for RCA plugs, thanks.

from Bravo Neutrik Finally, a good connector. The designers at Neutrik apparently did something that few others in the connector business have done: They designed these connectors from the view of the installer. They give you what you need to overcome the various cable sizes and shield configurations found in higher-end audio cable. They packaged two different diameter spring reliefs and an ingenious plastic cable "squeeze" retainer that you add AFTER you finish soldering. Metal shell screws down tight and stay tight. The color ring is a cut and shrunk piece of heat shrink tubing, which could be changed to any color if you have a need to do it. Be sure to use silver alloy solder when soldering to gold plate. Final measurements with a DVM showed extremely low resistance. All in all, considering the price, these are hard to beat. Quality abounds with this product.
