Neutrik NMJ4HC-S 1/4" Mono Phone Jack Switched
Neutrik NMJ4HC-S 1/4" Mono Phone Jack Switched is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid ConstructionIf you attempting to replace an existing board mounted 1/4" jack, check all dimensions. There apparently is no real "standard" size for the PCB pin locations. Will not work as a replacement for a GK bass amp speaker jack.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from El CheapoDoes what it is supposed to do, but be advised that these are soft, cheap plastic so be very careful not to over tighten. At max torque, they will still rotate in the mounting hole. You just can't make them rigid on your faceplate since they consist of plastic threads. Plastic threads .. That will tell you something. That being said, they are useable under mild conditions, but cheap. Stage-worthy? Ahhh...be sure to have spares for repairs between gigs..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice jack for custom effects pedalsI like the chrome finish on the external nut. (And so do my customers). I also like the extra spacers they supply to get just the right fit for the various enclosures I use. I also like the switched conductors. Makes for a quiet pedal with no input connected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 1/4These come with a few extra washers so you can mount them to different thickness plates. The only thing missing is that they could easily be water-proof, but there's a small opening where each bracket goes through. Excellent quality; room for 2 16 gauge wires in each tab; no problem soldering. Snug Fit, perfect.

Neutrik NMJ4HC-S 1/4" Mono Phone Jack Switched

can i use 2 of these for stereo input, and have dual mono from one jack as well?

i'd like to use 2 of these to connect a synthesizer to a project amp. can i use these switched jacks in a configuration that would be stereo if 2 plugs were inserted, and split to dual mono if only 1 plug was inserted? thanks
Asked by: gw from denver
Yes to the first part.If your input is unbalanced,i.e. hot and ground.Than yes two jacks would give you stereo.I don't understand what you mean by dual mono.Yes if you are inputting the same signal to left and right. To do this would require a 'Y' adapter which would have three mono 1/4" jacks. The single jack coming from the mono source would need to go to two 1/4" jacks, one for each input for dual mono.
