Rated 5 out of 5 by from Neutrik locking jackThe industry standard for locking jacks. No hardware provided. I think they do this because they have no idea what you will mount this in. If you can solder this then you won't have any problems finding screws to fit. They are very reliable and look great. I also bought the rubber gaskets and they look great also.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like!I didn't buy mine from PE but I have an FX rack and I used a U1 blank panel and put a few of these in it with rivets! The locking feature is great if you don't want pops and hums caused by patch cords coming out! You can easily buy a pre punched panel (or cut them yourself). You can use Planet Wave cables with these to but they are snug fit. (I've had the compression ring on PW cables jam before but these are ok). A great panel jack to use. I recommend it!

please can you tell me how to connect this to a mono jack plug?

Asked by: the smoke
For a mono connection you will only be using the TIP and GR solder tabs on the back, TIP going to positive and GR going to negative.

How would this be wired? in the common sense for wiring speakers, which post would be positive and which one negative? Thanks

Asked by: SeaLay
You will only be using the TIP and GR terminals on this connector when used for speakers. The TIP is positive and GR is negative (ground).

i was needed a plug to go in the top when not in use to keep water and dust out

Asked by: rochoto
This jack is open to receive the 1/4" trs plug. It does not close off, however, because it is a chassis mount dust and moisture should mostly be confined to the jack interior and not enter your electronic gear. You could minimize this by wiring a Shintom plug as a thru and leaving it inserted when the circuit is not in use.
