Neutrik NJ3FC6 1/4" In-Line Locking Jack
Neutrik NJ3FC6 1/4" In-Line Locking Jack is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from i love this thingI use this on Pro Audio stuff.I could not be happier with this unless it was super cheap. It's affordable, and easy to work with. Just be careful when you are working with it- the locking mechanism can come out and apart from the jack when disassembled. There is an orange hinge, a foam block the spring and the button piece. They all very small. It will still work if you lose the spring (guess how I found out). But the locking has to be done by you. With the spring, it locks when you plug it in.This is a very sturdy alternative to the traditional in-line jacks, though it does cost a bit more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from In A Word......JunkI recently bought some of these to make a pigtail to take my commercial amps spade lug connections to 1/4". Do not attempt to try and use these with any gauge speaker wire over 16 AWG. They are totaly useless for several reasons. First the solder lugs are way too small for 12 AWG wire; not only the hole size but also the thin material the solder lugs are made from. Secondly the description indicates the strain relief are capable of handling large diameter cable (up to 8mm), that is totally incorrect as I could not get the strain relief to fit my 12 AWG speaker cable which was a bit smaller than the 8mm as specified. I ruined one trying to make it fit around the speaker cable. Also you will have to modify the rubber boot to fit around any cable larger than 2mm to even get the cable to pass thru. I was very disappointed in these connectors and would not recommend them for any speaker cable large than 16AWG. Spend the extra money and buy the large body Switchcraft Connectors! Neutrik failed on this product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great locking featureI recently bought some of these to make a pigtail to take my commercial amps spade lug connections to 1/4", for easier use in a mobile application. The locking feature is great! I only wish that the solder lugs were larger to better support heavy duty speaker cables. But these are much, much sturdier than most anything else I've tried. I'll be buying more of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent productThis is exactly what I was looking for. Stereo TRS, locking function, easy to solder, well made. So far no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where else will you find a TRS inline jack?I'm using these for an unusual application; headphone extension cables.I'd bought some prefab ones and they died quickly and annoyingly. These connectors are MUCH more heavy duty.Plus, I love the security of the Neutrik strain relief and the ease with which you can solder onto these. All other connectors feel flimsy and antiquated once you've dealt with the Neutrik stuff...

Neutrik NJ3FC6 1/4" In-Line Locking Jack

Is this available in black?

Asked by: bassistom
Yes it is available. NJ3FC6 is 3 pole nickel plated housing and the NJ3FC-BAG is 3 pole Black housing both have colored boots available (10 colors) for coding and marking identification. These connectors have the excellent Neutrik Boot/cable grip strain relief that is the best system available. Very easy to install and remove.
