Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good connector! This is a very good connector - well made, easy to solder and assemble, and it looks good! The only complaint that we have is that it is a bit large, in both barrel diameter and the length of the barrel and strain relief, for the densely packed connector field at the rear of our mixer. All the connectors fit - but it is very tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a problem to make the 180º conversionI bought 3 of these despite the complaints that they couldn't be set up to rotate the output 180º (which is what I needed). All you need is a small file or Dremel tool to make another notch at the 180º position. Just do it before you insert the terminal block to avoid metal dust issues. They assemble as normal from there.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better...The leads on the inside of the head are of average length. However, the casing from the neck to the head is very open to allow for the leads to be twisted as the head turns to it's various angles. This could be bad for the wires if the head is twisted too much. Also, the head locks in at the various angles which is nice, except my mixer has the plugs on the top. So I went to turn to head 180 degrees so the cord would still go out the back and found there is no angle position for the head at 180 degrees, so my cord angles off to the side. This then becomes a problem trying to put two of these heads next to each other on the mixer as it's then too wide.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality construction, somewhat limited applicationPros:Excellent construction with metal housing and effective strain relief. Innovative twist-on strain relief is easy to install and needs no tools. Very low clearance.Cons:Connector cannot be oriented straight up so the cable comes straight off the top of a rack-mounted mixer. It must be at about a 45 degree angle left or right, which may block adjacent jacks (though adjacent XLR jacks *just* fit). Somewhat difficult to work the plug into place after soldering, though not too bad.Overall, very satisfied with the end result. Made a clean installation in limited space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect in close quartersNeeded line signal cables for powered monitors. Straight plugs stuck out and hit the floor. You can rotate these to not interfere with other jacks. Nice and clean.
