M.POWER CRB7 MK3 7-In-1 Router Jig

The M.POWER CRB7 MK3 is a truly unique router jig! Its seven core functions take the average router to a different level of performance, making it one of the most versatile power tools money can buy. With no additional accessories needed, the CRB7 key capabilities are: adjustable dado-ing/trenching, adjustable mortising, anti-tilt support, precision small circle compass, off-set edge routing, and faux panel dado copier.

The CRB7 increases overall routing stability, improving accuracy and the quality of finish with every routing pass. M.POWER's CRB7 MK3 fits the majority of woodworking routers (see the compatibility guide on the right, under Manuals/Resources), but unlike practically every other jig, it is truly quick change and requires no screws or drivers. The CRB7 literally slides on and off the router and reduces setup time to almost nothing. Made in England. Two-year warranty.

CRB7 MK3 Features:
Set up with speed and ease: The CRB7 now sports adjustable cranked rods that allows both the inter rod width and rod height to be simultaneously adjusted. Fitting the CRB7 to your favorite router couldn’t be easier. The new cranked rods, now allows the CRB to be fitted to the majority of routers on the market.

Quick change:  Unlike most router jigs, the CRB7 can be fitted or removed in less than 10 seconds...with no fiddly screws or centering jigs required.

Micro adjuster: High precision router cutter position can be attained and repeated using the knurled and indexed micro adjuster.

• 2" Bakelite ball handle: Ergonomic design, comfortable to the touch, allowing for easy consecutive hours of use.

Indexed rule: The included self-adhesive Standard/Metric rule is another feature to ensure fast easy readings of router cutter position.

• 2 section anti-tilt leg: Supports and stabilizes the router when routing materials varying in thickness from 3/8” to 3-1/4” (10 to 82 mm). The two leg sections accommodate combinations of router position and workpiece thickness.

• Magnetic pivot pin storage: A home for this essential component that also makes it safe and easily accessible whenever needed.

• Professional Grade Build – Made in England, the CRB7 is manufactured to the highest standards, including a hard-anodized, machined, solid aluminum bridge, a laser cut 5 mm thick acrylic base plate, and precision turned steel and brass components.

CRB7 MK3 Functions:
• Adjustable dado-ing or trenching with a clamp guide: Set the clamp guide once and adjust the position of the router via the CRB7's micro adjuster. The CRB7 increases router-to-clamp guide surface contact area and reduces clamp guide set up time, even eliminating it in some cases.

• Adjustable mortising: A unique feature that allows for centered and off-centered mortises, and precisely controls the actual width of the mortise.

• Anti-tilt support: Another first for a router jig: variable height triangulated stabilization. Most router bases remain unsupported when edge routing, but the CRB7's anti-tilt leg eliminates router tilt. This is especially important when routing workpieces with a high aspect ratio.

• Compass: Route precision circles and holes that are actually smaller than the base of the router. The CRB7 can route circles and wheels from 3/4” to 8-3/4” radius (19 to 225 mm), diameters ranging from 1-1/2” to 17-1/2” (38 to 450 mm).

• Off-set base plate: This increases overall router stability and reduces errors when edge molding, by more than doubling the surface contact area between router and workpiece. The CRB7 also moves the pivot hand guiding the router toward the center of the panel, smoothing out the router pass action and reducing the chance of burn marks.

• Adjustable false panel rebate copier: The CRB7 provides a simple and exceptionally quick way of accurately repeating a molded dado for production batch quality faux or false paneling.

• Flush trim lipping kit: With virtually no setup time, quick fit the edging trim adapter riser pad to accurately machine trim hard wood and iron on lipping flush with the core board in seconds (sold separately, see Related Items).

M.POWER CRB7 MK3 7-In-1 Router Jig
M.POWER CRB7 MK3 7-In-1 Router Jig is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from CRB7 not compatible with PC 2 1/4 plunge router baThe CRB7 is not compatible with a Porter Cable 2 1/4 hp plunge router base #8931 because the base has blind holes; not thru holes for the two rods to slide thru. Therefore the micro adjustment cannot be used nor can the router bit be centered in the jig. I believe that one would have to buy a Porter cable #6931 plunge base which does have thru holes which comes with the 1 3/4 plunge router. This adds $80-100 investment to use the CRB7. You need a plunge router to use all of the CRB7 options. I was disappointed and am returning the jig although it looked pretty neat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You spin me round...This is not like the photo and I don't care. Easy set up, not getting why some cannot centre their routers, my porter cable, dewalt, and ryobi Were a breeze. I love that you can "creep up" on your cut diameters, and make ANY small adjustments necessary.Well worth the price difference for a circle jig. Buy this, it'll destress Your circle cutting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top notch engineeringI haven't had a chance to use every feature this is has. There are so many ways to use this simple yet elegant piece of equipment, it will be some time before all are tried out.Fit and finish are great and the functions I have tried were easy to set up and came out perfectly.I do high-end fine woodworking as well as speaker building, and this tool accessory is a jewel for the price of a rock!I recommend the edging kit if you work with plywoodpart #365-652See review.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT LIKE THE PICTUREThe product has been "improved" since the photo was taken. It no longer has thick rods that fit quality routers that professionals use, but has thin rods that fit only the cheapest home improvement store routers. The hardware is flimsy at best. It's a real shame, because it's a good idea. Mine came with 0 documentation (found it on the mfg web site), and was missing parts. Doesn't actually matter, because it will never work with my DeWalt router (which is a common model). The one in the picture (which I thought I bought) would have worked like a champ. Buyer beware (and that includes parts express buyers too!)...Picture below shows rod that is way too small diameter to fit router.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good idea, but execution not quite as good. The pictures are inaccurate. Now they come with a flippable size adjustment that is not shown in the picture. It is probably to support small routers. I have a full size Bosch 1716 that says should fit, but doesn't center no matter which way I flip the adjusters so I have to remove them and screw directly to the mounts. Now i have extra parts that are easy to lose and one side has open threads showing. I wish I could get the model shown in the picture; It looks like a more quality unit. Also, the rods that came with the unit are silver and appear thinner, not black as in the photo. That means it won't work with the full sized Craftsman I had where the screws that come with it wont grip the rods. Returned the Craftsman a got a Bosch, but Bosch doesn't even come with screws, so I had to acquire some and the grip ball will not fit with the Bosch so off with the ball. Anyway I believe both models are mentioned to be compatible with this jig but certainly aren't, at least without rebuilding the whole thing, something the manual doesn't mention. I think it was missing some screws that are supposed to come with it. I guess I will have to buy them if I need them. Once i got it attached, it worked...then my router broke...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First day with the CRB7I used the M.POWER CRB7 for the first time today for a dual 6 ½”woofer, soft dome tweeter build. I was using my Dewalt DW618PK.I wasn’t able to use the handle that comes with the CRB7 for most of my cuts because of the Dewalt handles interfering.I ended up making a small adapter to keep my cuts accurate. The posts that mount to the plunger section of my Dewalt are smaller in diameter and caused play in router to CRB7 mounting. It would be a lot nicer if there were sleeves to make it a tight fit. My adapter did not work for all cut diameters I needed. The CRB7 is a lot nicer and easier to use then a similar kit that I bought from sears.

M.POWER CRB7 MK3 7-In-1 Router Jig

I just purchased this for my Bosch 1617 Router. I can't seem to get the cutter in the center line with the router base flat on the router jib

Asked by: Static
I have that router and I managed to get it to fit centered, but I had to remove the flip/flop adjustment thing that come with it and attach it directly to the anchor (like it shows in the PE picture that is inaccurate now), removing several parts. I also had to remove the ball handle because it interferes. It is kind of ridiculous that they say this it works with this router when you have to modify the whole configuration without any instruction.

Will this jig fit my Skill 1830 2-1/4 hp router?

Asked by: buildit
If your router is not on the list to the right under Manuals/Resources, the CRB7 may still fit, just measure the width and height of your router rod drillings and check with the diagrams.
