Momentary N.O. Metal Flat Flush Mount Push Button Switch

What is the diameter of the switch. I am mounting the switch in an aluminum box so I have to make sure its width is not too big. Also, what size should the mounting hole be? I looked at the dimensions but I could not accurately read them. Thank you

Asked by: ZetaVape
You can see a tech drawing for the switch in the link below.http://www.parts-express.com/pedocs/tech-diagrams/060-660-parts-express-66-2436-tech-drawing-40674.jpg

I'm using this switch in a dc voltage application. What would the amperage limit be with dc current? It's only 4 volts dc, but the amperage could reach as high as 40 in my case.

Asked by: Marcus30
We do not recommend a current rating any higher than 4 amps for this switch.

Hi, I ordered this button and I'd like some more measurement for it if you can. I would like to know the width of the head, the depth of the head (so I can drill out a hole to make this fit flush), and how long the entire button is. Thanks!

How far down does the button have to be pressed to make contact.

I would like to use these buttons for a MIDI drum machine and wanted to know how sensitive these buttons are.
Asked by: Scornil01
The switch needs to be depressed roughly 1/8" before contact is made.

Will this work with a 24VDC system?

I am interested in using a momentary switch to temporarily display a voltmeter connected to a 24VDC sealed lead acid battery. I'd like the voltmeter to display the voltage when I press the momentary switch. Just wondering if this switch will work in this application. Thanks
Asked by: DJStronkinson
Yes, this will handle voltages from 0-250 without an issue.

Dimensions?

What are the dimensions of the switch? It says the shaft diameter, but what's the diameter of the lip at the top if I want to countersink it? Thanks.
Asked by: ChrisG
The diameter of the lip is 22mm, the thickness of the lip is 1mm.
