Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent performance at a bargain priceI bought this meter to use as part of a hearing safety demonstration. It has very simple instructions and it is solidly reliable. Can't beat this price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value. At such a low price, it's not reasonable to expect a perfectly calibrated piece of equipment, but this one certainly seems to give readings which closely reflect real-world conditions, and works just as advertised. Therefore, a steal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK for the right useI bought this for a specific purpose: to balance a bi-amped system. All I needed to do was adjust the XO so that both sections produced the same SPL at the XO freq. For this, it was fine. When I checked the frequency response - just for the heck of it - it was terrible, so the unti is no good for determining freq. response of a speaker, etc.Know what you want it to do before buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems to work as intendedPut included battery into the unit & it worked as intended. I measured the sounds of my surroundings at various locations. The results I expected were reproduced by the meter. I have no way to verify the results but it seems accurate. It has a min max record button as well. It's an inexpensive, small, quality tool that was quickly delivered. I will recommend this item & retailer to all of my friend.

Does Parts express have a external power supply that can be used instead of a battery on this unit?

Asked by: Jamesg
Any 9VDC power supply will work but it will require hard wiring which will void the warranty. The one below will work well.

Can we take report from the unit, for the number of test done
