Metra 70-1761 Toyota 1987-Up Into Car Harness
I have a 1998 Toyota avalon and I've bought two adapters from 2 different places and both do not fit my factory wiring harness, they are close but not correct fit. How can I find out if this is the same connecter I've already bought that didn't fit?
This part is listed as the correct part for a 1998 Toyota Avalon. It is the Metra part #70-1761 and the manufacturer's website show it as compatible to the original OEM harness for your vehicle. In older vehicles, it is always possible that someone has rewired it with a different in-dash harness. If it appears to be rewired, it may need to be replaced with the OEM harness that is Metra's part #71-1761.

I have a 2000 Toyota Echo. It is equipped with a six-speaker stereo. 1st question: is the correct harness to install an aftermarket head unit? And 2: will all speakers operate? There is 6x9s in the rear deck, 5 1/4 in the front doors and dash speakers.
Yes this is the correct harness for that vehicle and yes all six speakers will work.
