from Inexpensive, but hard to use and smellyOuter jacket adheres to the braid and is very hard to strip without ripping up the braid. The jacket is not black as stated, rather it is very dark purple/blue. Jacket has a VERY strong chemical odor. The braided copper has a dull, tarnished appearance but took solder ok. Inside, the cable is very well supported by thick nylon or similar piping. The conductors have sturdy, thick insulation and are easy to handle. The inner stranded conductors are bright and shiny.

from Very Nice, but Stiff! This is really nice cable. The braiding is very nice and tight, so much so.. that you'll have to spend a bit of time teasing it or fishing through a small hole that you can create by spreading the wires down near where they exit the casing. When you're doen though... it'll be a really nice cable. It's super stiff though. That's my only real complaint. I have other cables that are larger in diameter (20 AWG) and are more supple. Not sure why, it may be that they have a nice casing material??? dunno. Bottom line.. really nice cable for the money.

from Consistent QualityI've purchased this cable in 100' lengths over the past few years and I always get the same stuff. It is nice to know what to expect. I've probably built 25 XLR cables using Neutrik connectors and never had one fail. Way cheaper than purchasing pre-made cables.

from It's alright for cheap microphone cable.I actually prefer the Dayton Audio microphone cable I bought at Parts-Express a few years ago. This stuff is ok, but the best thing about the Dayton Audio cable was that it came on a spool and was easy to manage. Also the Dayton Audio cable had a tinned braid, which made it easy to work with. This stuff is alright, but I prefer the Dayton Audio Microphone cable, that apparently has been discontinued.

from Good cable for the moneyThis is the second time I buy this cable and I like the way it's made. Nice shield and the 22 gauge wire is good to work with and solder. A lot of the pre-made cables are 24 gauge with less shielding. I used this to make 50 and 30 foot cables. I expect they will last me a while.

from Good cable for the moneyThis looks great on paper, and the price is somewhat reasonable too. The 22 gauge is nice. The nylon filling inside is nice too. I definitely appreciate the braiding shield over a straight stranded copper shield. The jacket is super thick. Overall, from the outside, it looks like a great cable.Of course, no product is perfect. The braiding and the overall copper is definitely not OFC. It is not nearly as shiny as the other cables I've tried in the past. This requires me to pay a little bit more attention when I make cables to seal the copper before I put the connector together. The oxidation is also apparent with solder, as the solder doesn't adhere as well as OFC wires.Overall, I'd have to say this product isn't perfect, and isn't quite bad for the money. I think for next time, I'd spend just a little bit more for a better cable.
