Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little amp.I bought this amp a couple of weeks ago. After a couple of days of burn in I am very satisfied. Sounds good in both Bluetooth mode and through the RCA inputs. I like the small footprint and plan on purchasing another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can't go wrong...Bought and hooked this up roughly a week ago, and overall I am throughly impressed. I ran this amp on two sets of speakers, first on a set of 6 ohm Boston Acoustic A70's (old but nice) and then on a set of 8 ohm BIC speakers from PE.I think performance was slightly better on the BA's, but I feel that's primarily due to the fact they are a full size speaker and the BIC's are smaller bookshelf speakers.HOWEVER, I was extremely surprised at how well they sounded on either set. For $100 you just can't beat this amp. It packs a pretty big punch on the low end with very clean mids and highs.I'm using this in my kitchen hooked up to the BIC speakers replacing an old wired amp from a PC.So far the Bluetooth has worked flawlessly with pretty good range. When it hooks up there is a quick beep to let you know.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound at a great price!I bought this 6 months ago and I have to say it has really good sound and works perfectly with my setup. I run my phone through it for my garage sound system and it performs perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The little amp that shouldBought this amp paired with the B652 Air speakers, with a little EQ they sound pretty goodThe specs show 120Wpc @ 6 ohms but I would guess that is a wild overstatement40-50 Wpc is probably closer to reality, still not bad for these speakersThe Bluetooth worked good with my tablet but not so good with a new apple laptopThe MacBook seems to need a clear line of sight and to be close to the receiveror else the music cuts in and out . Products at this price range are kind of toysbut fun toys none the less !

Rated 2 out of 5 by from it explodesi had this unit for a few months, when i played particularly loud and then the chip, the one that does all the hf swiching literaly exploded and made a pop sound, but that was ok since parts express replaced it like instantly. then the new one, i allways tried to never push it, it didnt really explode, but one of the channels stopped working. the input chotkeys in this amp get hot and stop working if you mess up the polarity, just saying but that was my screw up.

Is there a way to setup the Lepai LP7498E with a wireless volume control (remote)? I want to have this in an overhead space, but will not be able to easily access it. I am considering decoupling the volume pot and using a wired knob with long lead wire.

Asked by: Rossypants
I am sorry, I am not aware of any way to set up a remote volume for this. It may be easier to use an inline wall volume control between the amp and the speakers.

Wrong post to Matt's reply so reposting.  My 150W+ speakers use RCA audio connectors ( Do I have to change them to banana plugs? The speakers are definitely not powered, an amp is needed.

reading the product specs, It would appear to me that the power supply that comes with this unit is under-rated in wattage for the quoted output of 160 watts X2 at 4 ohms...which equals 320 watts total, correct? Or does that mean 160 watts total output?

Asked by: mmfnsmith

how do I connect speakers to this device? Do I have to change my speaker RCA plugs to Banana plugs?  Or is it possible to get adapters?

Asked by: seunTobi
The binding posts on this amp accept bananas or bare speaker wire. Are you sure the speakers you have are RCA? That would be very unusual unless they are powered, in which case this amp isn't required anyway.

Can I use this to stream music from my cd changer/stereo receiver to wireless bluetooth speakers?

Asked by: rscoochod
The amp has a built in Bluetooth receiver, which will receive an audio signal from a Bluetooth enabled device. It will not transmit a Bluetooth signal to another device.
