Lepai LP7498E 200W Class D Digital Amplifier with Bluetooth and Power Supply
The LP749E has great sound but I need more range for the bluetooth. It only works when the portable device is in the same room.
Is there a larger antenna, or an extension cable that will work with this unit?
I am sorry, we do not have any way to enhance the bluetooth reception on this unit at this time.

Does the amp have an auto on/off switch? Do I need to switch the amp off when not in use?
It does not have an auto on-off. I have mine connected to a power strip so that when it's off, it's off. The external power supply is off as well.

Speaker wiring question
I want to use this amp to power some Bravox marine speakers (M6-IDB) http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=269-515I wanted to run 4 speakers, 2 pairs on each channel in a series. They're 4 ohm speakers. Would it be ideal to wire it this way or would I be better off with 2 speakers per channel?
It would be ok to wire two sets in series but this will drop the overall output power from the amplifier. However with that much power on tap anyway I don't think this would be an issue.

How to eliminate noise
I'm running this amp 10' from my ipad via bluetooth. As soon it is discovered, there is background noise.Any solutions?
There is a risk of noise with all wireless devices--even the $2,000 wireless microphone setups. Try relocating the receiver/amplifier in the room. There may be an interference source in the neighborhood--garage door opener/walki talki anything that uses this frequency or a harmonic of it. If all else fails, call the seller and see what your options are. I know from experience that PE has a really good return/exchange policy. I know how frustrating these things are.

What are the RMS ratings on this amp? The power brick supplies 165 watts, which is far short of the rated output.
I would assume that the true RMS figures are closer to2x100-110w @4Ohm, 2x80-90w @ 6Ohm, and 2x60-75w @ 8Ohms. That makes this amplifier still very powerful for such a small size. Those power ratings however are probably only attainable with a proper higher amperage power supply, or it is possibly available from this power supply in sort bursts, like in recreating explosions or loud bass notes. I really look forward to using and "playing" with this new series of lepai amplifier myself, as it looks like they have really stepped up their game! I hope that you enjoy this amplifier if and when you get it!

Does this work with 230v or is it 115v only?
This will work with 100-240V input sources.
