i was interested in the Lanzar Maxpro64 6.5 in replace of blown out soundstream component woofer... Would the set up still work with the tweeter and Crossover?

Asked by: Oreo
If the original woofer was 4 ohm the crossover will not change, but the overall sound will likely be different.

What is the frequency response of this woofer, and will it make a good replacement for a 6.5" ported bass tube?

Asked by: jpsyoda
Unfortunately Lanzar does not specify the frequency response for this woofer, but I doubt it will play very well above 1kHz. We need a little more information about the tube you want to put this is in order to help, please contact our tech support for more help with this question, tech@parts-express.com or 800-338-0531 x1.

I want to put 4 of them facing forward under the back seat of my truck in a custom box, should I build a sealed or ported box?

Asked by: SoCalCarGuy
These work best in a sealed enclosure.

car rear door mount

I would like to mount one of these subs in each of the rear doors of my car. Is anyone aware if this sub can be used in that manner (not in a specifically designed/built sealed or ported box)? Thank you in advance for the help.
Asked by:
Sure the driver will work just fine in this application. My suggestion would be to make sure that the door is sealed as well as possible. If you can use closed cell foam and a layer of vinyl or something like that to seal the inside of the door from the outside to stop the rear wave of the driver from interfering with the outside wave that would be as good as it gets.

Asked by:
No woofer performs well unless in a solid enclosure. Rear decks are often reinforced or have custom cabinets. To make a pair of doors perform well with a sub would require extraordinary bracing and sound deadening. Doors are good for mid-bass... For subs - stick to a cabinet
