Lanzar MAX12 12" Subwoofer 4 Ohm
I bought this sub to put in a Goldwood single 12" slot port subwoofer box for a home theater powered sub. I want to tune the box to 30Hz, how much should I reduce the port size? Is a 5" slot port about right to get down to 30Hz & will it produce chuffing?
I would recommend cutting the width of the port to 4" overall which will drop the tuning frequency to 30 Hz. This should not have any port noise issues.

Optimal ported enclosure size for a pair these
I would like to get a pair of these and build an enclosure for them to go into. What would be the size (cubic feet) of a ported enclosure that 2 of the Lanzar MAX12 would sound best in? A big box is fine with me (what size port/tube)?thanks for the help
Running these through BassBox6Pro, I come up with a 4.3 cu. ft. enclosure, 4" diameter port, 3" in length. This will give you an F3 of 45hz. Lanzar does not provide enough data to fully maximize the speaker enclosure, but the above specs should work well.
