Lanzar HTG257 Heritage 2000 Watt 2-Channel Amplifier
Lanzar HTG257 Heritage 2000 Watt 2-Channel Amplifier is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Amp For the MoneyHad 2 12 pioneer sitting around so I ordered the this amp. Great amp. Plenty of power but for the fuze rating it ran about 600 watts. The only thing I have to say bad about it is the sensitivity and frequency dials will move on you. Runs cool for months now and no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! This Lanzar amplifier gets VERY LOUD! I used it on two 12" sub-woofers that were both dual voice coil. I bridged them at 4 ohms. This thing is a beast. I don't have any real complaints about the device. The only reason I didn't give it an "Excellent" rating for "Features" is because I think it could have had a remote gain control. But the price of this device is so great the lack of remote does not even factor in. As to the "I could cook steak and eggs on it." comment, I have had no problems with overheating. It does get warm over time but what do you expect for such a high current job? Overall this is a fantastic amplifier that really kicks! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great!awesome! very loud. used in stereo mode on a dual voice coil sub @4 ohms per ch., playing music and watching movies for over 4 hours, stopping in between to see what the previous review was talking about with the "steak n' eggs" hot. it gets warm but still not as hot as my 2 ch. receiver powering my other speakers, on for just as long. great buy, especially for the price.

Lanzar HTG257 Heritage 2000 Watt 2-Channel Amplifier

In the product specifications it says that it has a subwoofer remote level control. After looking over the amp in the pictures, there is no connection point for one. Can you please let me know if there is a REMOTE level control. Thanks

Asked by: Boonaroo
Actually only the HTG2100D model has a remote level control option.

If i hook this amp up to two Lanzar MAX12 12" Subwoofer 4 Ohm in a dual ported box, using Stereo conection will it power them without damage? the box is a full range box so it is also running two tweeters and a midrange driver on each side. with the sub

Asked by: newaudiophile
Yes this will work fine as long as the overall load on each channel does not drop below 2 ohms. With one 4 ohm woofer on each channel, the heaviest load will be 4 ohms, so you should not have any problems.

My lancer is hooked up with 8 gauge power and ground and the green power light is on but my subs aren't getting any power, I've hooked up a different amp and the subs work, I can't figure out why my lancer won't work

What size wire input

Just wanted to know what the negative and positive input is on these Lanzar amps? Ill get one in a few days from but trying to get the wires ready to go. Any help is appriciated.
Asked by: Little Jon
Documentation is sparse on the site, but looking on the OEM website yields predictable results.Speaker outs are screw type, so buy the multi-pack, buy the appropriate fork terminals for the wire you choose and then tighten the screw down on the fork. The power terminals are also screw type but the manual says to use 4 or 8 gauge wire for the power and ground cables so buy one 095-669 for that, it has two pairs so you can hook to the bus bar or battery easily.4 gauge might get pricey, as long as this is the only high power amp in your setup, 8 gauge should do fine. With a 40 amp draw anything less would start to get hot if you pounded it for awhile so don't cheap out!

heating issues?

The only two comments talk about heat problems, one says it has the them, the other says otherwise. Is there any PE profesional advise or experience with this issue? If this is an issue, how bad is it?
Asked by: Derk
if you jam it under your seat yes. If mounted correctly with adequate ventilation, no. Most negative reviews on products are a result of poor installation. Use 4 gauge power cable for increased efficiency and it will not have to work as hard to draw power, translation = less heat
