Rated 5 out of 5 by from You also need these tools to install them...I use a lot of these and I like them, but here's the info that is missing from the Specifications section: To mount these flat or completely flush and keep from bending or breaking the mounting tabs you will need to mount these in a 2-5/16" hole. This is an odd size for a hole saw, so you won't likely find at the corner hardware store, but you can get them from your favorite on-line industrial supply. You can get by with the much more common 2-1/4" size, but you will need to slightly chamfer the edges of the hole. They also require #6 flathead mounting screws, which are not included.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from refurbish partsI am helping an audiophile customer refurbish some 1986 custom built JBL speakers. the old face plates were worn and broken in the corners. I looked through all of my local electronic boutiques and nothing remotely close. these plates were an EXACT match. thank you again parts express!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes Flush-Mounting Simple!I bought a set of L-pads (260-262) and wanted to flush mount them. This kit did the job nicely and cheaply. Only ultra-minor gripe is the outer mounting tabs are slightly elevated because the mounting plate is beveled. If you tighten the plates down the tabs bend over giving it an odd appearance. I backed off on the screws and it makes them look great. Could have included a set of mounting screws but, I rounded up a set. They worked very nicely.

L-Pad Faceplate For "High"

Mounting L-pad in faceplate and enclosure

I see the hole diameter for these faceplates are aprox. 2 5/16" diameter. The 100 W L-pads are aprox. 2 1/2" diameter. Is the cup depth of these faceplates at least 3/4" deep so I do not have interference from the wood enclosures when L-pad is mounted to the faceplate?
Asked by: Chuckwantstoknow
Yes the L-pad is deep enough that the cabinet wall thickness will not interfer with the L-pad body.

is there a round cut-out to be made for flush mounting this faceplate?

No side view is given
Asked by: DMSLV
yes, generally a "hole saw" is used...when you get the part measure it for appropriate hole diameter, making sure there is as much gasket surface as possible while still allowing the part to pass cleanly....then go to your local hardware store, and pick up the appropriately sized hole saw, and arbor, or arbor bit...mark the desired location, pop the hole saw into your hand drill and your ready to go..
