Kinter A7 2-Ch Mini Amplifier for Motorcycles with IR and Handlebar Mount Remotes USB MP3 2x20W
Kinter A7 2-Ch Mini Amplifier for Motorcycles with IR and Handlebar Mount Remotes USB MP3 2x20W is rated 4.25 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great FMHooked it up to a 25 watt Meanwell power supply and a couple of 12" coax speakers- fills the room with lots of radio. For $17 don't whine about the sound quality and if you are listening to your local FM station in the house all day it's prefect!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Amazing FM StereoI needed a low cost solution for FM and MP3 with a headphone level output solution, and works great (sound is superb) for that purpose. Do not expect 20 W per channel, which I do not use anyway. I set up for a near field 2.1 stereo retired from an old PC that offers a great sub-woofer response. I tried at first with the separately purchased 12V 1200mA power adapter, but the hum noise level was too high (because the Kinater A7 is intended for 12 V motorcycle battery), I had to use a clean DC supply. It comes infra red and wired remote controls, but the 3-button function is far from convenient. I have no way knowing in what mode it is in especially for FM. Once it picks up a favorite station, hope it will not continue scanning. If it sates on, the stereo effect (called ST Separation) is amazingly clear. MP3 has nor problem, it also plays .WAV format directly "Grabbed" from CD. "Ripped" format did not work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great amp for the priceThis is a good little amp/digital player for it's size, features and cost. The FM radio is a huge plus though a little finicky to switch stations. It sounds better than it's size and cost would imply.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SURPRISE, It tunes FM stereo too !!I was surprised to see this unit. I had looked at it but decided to buy something else. After re-reading the information I'm not sure the description leaves you with a solid impression of the factuality of it. It IS a 2-channel amplifier and the handlebar mountable control lends itself to any installation such as a motorcycle though... why limit this device to motorcycles?? sources are ,usb for thumb drive, a mini SD slot, an onboard FM tuner that has a quirky interface that would seem to be a bump-seek rather than scan to allow easy use while piloting a vehicle of any kind, high or low speed. To be clear there are no provisions for external sources, and while 20 watts seems impossible for the size of it my limited power supply disqualified me from testing output power though the clarity of the audio was quite distinct and profound. That quality alone would make this a candidate for installation anywhere 12v and speakers can be provided. Let one surprise you.

I have several questions...First, is the antenna built in? Second, what is IR and is that a port under it? Third how do I wire for car use dc to dc to meet the 1-3 Amp requirements? I don't want to use a cig. lighter adapter. Thanks!

Asked by: Vintage Rebuilder
Yes the antenna is built in and can be seen in the pictures between the headphone jack and remote line input. The IR is for the remote, the "eye" below it is the target for the remote. These can be wired to any of the power sources in the car, the easiest would probably be to the fuse box wired to something that is only on when the car is on. You can use a DC cable like below to do this.

I see an antenna in the back, however there is no mention of a radio. Does it have a radio?

Asked by: bbs3834
Yes this does have an FM radio which is controlled entirely by the remote. When no USB or SD card is plugged in, the unit defaults to the radio.

Is the headphone jack (in the display picture) an input or output jack? The manual picture says it is a auxiliary input. If not, where do you input the signal to be amplified?

Asked by: trainpain
The headphone jack is an output. The inputs for this amplifier are only available as USB or SD inputs, there is no AUX input via 3.5mm.
