Jasper Circle Jig Model 240
Jasper Circle Jig Model 240 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from works like a champI have used this circle cutting jig several times already and it simply makes the most perfect, smoothest, easiest circle in wood ever. One thing to be aware of when using the 1/4" upcut bit; the dimension selected on the template that you put the pin in is the outside diameter of the hole. If you are cutting circular plugs you need to add 1/4" to the diameter to wind up with a circular disc of the right size. If you don't it will be 1/4" small. It was a little of a head scratcher figuring out how to mount the jig onto the router but no problem once that is figured out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flawless circlesI bought this jig for making a visually pleasing way to protect the sub woofers going behind the seat of my truck. It was exactly what I needed to get the perfect circles I was looking for. I have no idea how I ever built boxes without it. When used properly you can cut very precise circles perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tool for perfect circlesHave used it a couple times already to cut some practice holes and built a couple speaker baffles. Was a bit afraid of the plastic construction but After using it it is plenty tough and should be good for years of use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Superb. This product is a very good way of routeing holes but the only issue I have is that the markings for some of the selected holes are difficult to see if they are the ones you need that are where you mount the router to the jig itself ie; the smaller dimensions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid & Finely MachinedJust got it today and have not used it yet but, for those out there wondering what it's made of exactly it looks like 1/4" Plexiglas with a vinyl backing for all the notations and gray color that you see. I work with sheet plastics of all varieties on a regular basis and I can tell you this jig is quite rigid being made of 1/4" plexi however I would say that if you hit it with some decent force it could break though not exactly fragile either. Overall not to bad, price could be cheaper but keep in mind how many holes they put in it, plus a decent amount of labor as well. Made in the U.S. not China mind you.

Jasper Circle Jig Model 240

if this jig is made of plastic how can it cut without braking? and is there a 1/2 bit that would fit?

Asked by: ljk2000
This is just designed to function as a guide, which is why the manufacturer recommends using it with a plunge router. No stress is placed on the jig as it is just holding the pin in place. The sizes are all set up for a 1/4 inch bit so using a different size will throw off all of the measurement markings.
