Jantzen Audio 0.15mH 20 AWG Air Core Inductor Crossover Coil
Jantzen 0.15mH 20 AWG Air Core Inductor Crossover Coil is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from .15 20awg Perfect replacement for Klipsch Chorus II tweeter inductorThe inductors on my Klipsch Chorus II speakers were smoked when I acquired them because the previous owner ran them with blown tweeter diaphragms. Running these speakers at high power with blown tweeters apparently cooks the inductors. These were a perfect replacement and due to the larger wire gauge probably offer better performance over stock. I used 5 minute epoxy to glue them onto the circuit board where the originals were.Worked great!

Not properly wound?

Is it a problem if inductors aren't perfectly wound? I bought one of these and as I was zip tying it to the xover board noticed it was a bit out of shape - not sure it if came like that or not. Anyway, it doesn't seem to be wound properly. Instead of the wires being perfectly layered with straight/flush sides, one part is a bit thinner and deformed. Is this a problem? Do I need another one?
Asked by: Rhys
I do not believe that you would be able to measure a significant enough difference to warrant the purchase of a new inductor, let alone hear a difference.
