IEC Power Jack Chassis Mount with 10A Fuse Holder
IEC Power Jack Chassis Mount with 10A Fuse Holder is rated 4.1667 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from No cover for fuse holderI needed a socket like this so I ordered it. It fit well but there wasn't a cover for the fuse holder. The fuse I bought separately fit fine but even though it's recessed in it's exposed. This shouldn't be a problem unless someone sticks their finger in there but the picture shows a cover for the fuse. The socket I was replacing had a cover but it didn't fit this new one. Other than that it seems to work fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Was reading too fast. No fuse included.Product is great it was as expected except for one shortcoming. I expected them to come with a 10 amp fuse installed, they do not come with any fuses and that is the responsibility of the user. just thought that could use clarification.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Safely Wiring Mains requires a schematicPerfect thing for unsafe mains wiring ! Requires schematic, which is unavailable. And hard to draw both modes correctly. Once in the transformer and fuse confuse the by adding to the 'normal' readings of continuity, making it impossible to figure out. Use an IEC or put on your blindfold and start the mains wiring, the hidden wires and this thing got ripped out so I could wire up my amp safely. Draw your own schematic of all possible modes in this thing before considering putting it into anything like mains wiring...better yet, use an IEC so you can see and test your mains connections.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great fused tooGood price works great. This is the second one of these I'd gotten. The old one still works fine but was expoxyed into place on an old ugly temp case. Couldn't remove it so got another.Love the built in fuseholder had a hard time finding any others that had that. Sturdy enough and I only need a 2 amp fuse so it's been great for this project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice IEC JackI've used a number of these, and I've always liked the integrated fuse holder. Just be aware of the chassis thickness to ensure that the jack seats properly.

IEC Power Jack Chassis Mount with 10A Fuse Holder

How do you access the fuse/holder in the IEC jack chassis ? Thanks

Asked by: TomD
First, you must remove the power cord from the jack. Just above the picture of the fuse, you will see a small tab. With a fingernail or small screwdriver, simply slide that tab straight out toward you to access the fuse.
