from A serious driver that can run with theThe set of speakers I use these in are a VERY small bookshelf (.23ft3 enclosure). These drivers are exceptional at their price. They have nice extended bass, clean with no bumps, a wonderful smooth midrange, great resolution. They also do not seem to break up very easily with a high X-over point. I have used them over a Seas or a Scan-Speak due to the fact that they perform to at least 90% of the euro-standards at 70% of their price. Very high value. The down sides are that they are not very efficient, I have found them to lack some inner-detail, micro-dynamics, and versatility is limited. I have not pinned down where or why they are doing this, but given their price and who they are up against, I feel it fair to hold them to a higher standard. On the versatility front, they get flubby just outside their ideal tuning range and get way overly taught just inside. Making them finicky to cabinet variances due to x-over and brace placement. I would recommend.

from Exceptionnal for mid-priced expercienceI've bought these last year for a project on my own. Voices, sounded AMAZING, upper bass sounded clean and tight. Overall sound depth and imaging were on "par" with many expensive priced speaker kits like TOTEM. On the low side, their sensitivity are low. They can extend around 50 Hz easily, depending on the design you've got.
