HDMI Super Slim 4x2 True Matrix IR Compatible

Until now sharing HDMI components among multiple rooms in the house was more expensive than the equipment you want to use. This super slim HDMI matrix has four inputs and two outputs. Connect your HDMI source devices; Blu-ray DVD, cable and satellite receivers and video games to the inputs and the outputs connect to the two displays. Built-in signal compensation allows the matrix to be up to 20 meters from the source and 15 meters from the display (using 24 AWG cables). When used with the Easy IR Extender kit (sold separately), equipment can be controlled without installing additional wires. The Unique Backward-IR Channel allows you to control devices at the viewing location from the source equipment location with an additional Easy IR Extender kit. For maximum flexibility, the matrix provides additional audio output; both Toslink and line level RCA, that are tied to the HDMI 1 output.

HDMI Super Slim 4x2 True Matrix IR Compatible
HDMI Super Slim 4x2 True Matrix IR Compatible is rated 3.875 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great problem solverI needed a way to provide HDMI switching while pulling analog stereo audio in my motor home. This works perfectly! I control everything with a Harmony Ultimate along with the other various components. I have a pretty basic system with a 32" LED, Pioneer in dash with Line in audio from the switcher, IR control, an external small sub amp, DirecTV receiver, and a Western Digital WDTV Live with a large portable hard drive containing 300+ movies. The system works great and is very compact, especially with not having to take all of my DVDs on the road. I could not be happier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Through out instructions for IR use!Matrix works as advertised, but if you want to use the built-in IR over HDMI through the instructions in the garbage.  Parts Express will tell you the Easy IR Kit is not available from the manufacture, but a little goggling will prove it is still available.  It is actually seems to be the same components as the IR over HDMI that PE sells minus one IR RX.  To use the IR insert the adapter on the HDMI at the TV with the IR RX, on the matrix plug the IR TX into the "backwards IR" jack corresponding with the HDMI input. DO NOT USE THE IR EXT JACK, all it does is repeat the IR sensor on the front of the matrix.  You will need two IR TX, because it seams each "backwards IR" jack is dedicate to that HDMI input.  I actually requested a RMA on everything, then decided to give it a 3rd try at figuring it out and used the cell phone camera trick to trouble shoot the problem.   I got my matrix and Easy IR Kit from another dealer, but I do buy most of my stuff from PE and have been very please.  PE needs to check with there supplier, the Easy IR Kit is still available and while Y'all are checking please check your prices, i got the Matrix for 2/3 the price, Again I am very satisfied with with PE, just do a little fact and Price checking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product for the MoneyI hooked the matrix up in our office and attached a sony Blu-ray player, network media player, and laptop to it. It has a 66' hdmi and a 33'hdmi to the living room and my bedroom. It works as advertized. The only problem Ive had with it is when switching between sources on the long hdmi cable, sometimes I have to turn the matrix off and on to get a signal. (I think it has to do with the lenght of the cable. Instructions say 20meters max).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never worked correctlyHad issues from the start. Customer has to constantly reset switch to get TVs to work. Output 2 will not pass signal from input 2 unless output 1 is set the same.Product only comes with 45 day warranty and since I purchased it during construction the warranty had already expired by the time customer was ready to install in AV closet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The ultimate audiophile toolThis is definately a very cool product for the audiphile, it works its function perfectly without comprimising the video or audio quality. I've searched for similar products but the comparative cost was outrageous. I'ts versatility is unmatched and there is nothing like it in it's price range. The IR extender actually made my Direct TV remote react faster while punching in channels, its just a great product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Switch..couldn't pass 3D signalSwitch component works great. Unforunately couldn't pass 3D signal. Bought 3 units, tried over half dozen different HDMI cables and 2 different 3D Bluray players and could not get any of them to pass the 3D signal. I decided to keep 1 of the 3 units as its switch functionality is great, but had to do direct connection from 3D player to projector's 2nd HDMI input as workaround.

Is the TOSLINK on the back an output? If so Which Audio signal will it output? The signal from Output A, the one from Output B or is there a way to switch between ?

Asked by: Jeff Orwick
The Toslink and RCA connections are outputs and are tied into the HDMI 1 output.

I have a wall mounted TV with 1 HDMI cable running from it, through my wall, to my media cabinet (plugged into my cable box). Would this product allow me to use both my cable box and a blu-ray player with just the one HDMI cord from the TV?

Can it pass 3D video + DTS-HD audio at same time connected to 2 devices

I want to split a 3D video signal into video and audio.Video will go to a 3D projector and audio will go to a receiver that is HDMI 1.3.I bought a switch for another vendor and it could not output this at the same time. It takes a common denominator approach and defaults to HDMI 1.3 and I loss 3D video. If this switch can do that it would suffice my need.
Asked by: audiocrazy
HDMI is a consolidated cable that carries digital audio and video separately. They are never combined. Any quality HDMI cable will pass any version of surround sound and HD or 3D video formats. If you want to split output - the usual solution is to feed the projector HDMI and then take optical out to the audio preamp. Optionally, you can run RGB to the projector. It equals the quality of HDMI - however HDMI is easier on many levels. Hope this helps.
