HDMI 1-Input 2-Output 3D Splitter IR Compatible
I want to split the output of a 3D BD player into 1) a 3D display and 2) an 7.1 AV Receiver. Will this cause any issues with the 3D video output?
If you have a 3D BD Player - all you have to do is connect HDMI to your (TV) and take optical out to your receiver. You can also feed HDMI to the receiver and HDMI out to the TV. Of course the splitter would work - the choice you make really depends on your specific configuration.

How does windows7 interperet this type of device?
My question is if I wanted to use this for a laptop, what are the possibilities of running hdmi from my laptop to the splitter, running two hdmi cables out to 2 separate displays. Will this "clone" the primary display and show the same picture on both displays (i.e. windows7 may only detect 1 display and forcibly clone the picture) or, are there more capabilities built into the device so that windows7 will actually detect 2 separate displays and allow an "extended" dual display configuration?
It doesn't matter what device you connect this to. Whatever signal is delivered, the same signal is split to drive to monitors. Windows 7 will have no effect on the operation.

can you watch both devices at once or just 1 at a time
You can watch both at once. Both monitors will display the same picture and sound

Run Audio as well as video?
I am trying to run two TV's with one satellite receiver. The question is this: will this run audio as well as video to both?
Both audio and video are transmitted through HDMI cables

will this work with a NextGen ATH-433 RF Remote Control Extender
I'm not sure I understand the question, but the NextGen unit would not be required with this product. You would simply order the extender kit referenced below to facilitate IR communication to your components.

Is it possible to run both a 1080 and 720 TV from a splitter like this? If not, what is required to do this? Thanks!
Yes. The splitter will carry a signal up to 1080p resolution, and the panels will only display what they're capable of displaying. The splitter will not change the resolution of anything along the line, it simply redistributes whatever is fed into it.
