from To the reviewer aboveSince the outside of Fmods are uninsulated metal the alternator noise could be from one touching a metal part of your car and creating a ground loop problem. Try wrapping them in electrical tape and see if your noise problems go away.

from Good idea, but noisy. This is an extrememly useful and versitile product. However, my application happens to be in the car. I am using the 2.5k low pass and high pass to do a quick and dirty active setup and scrap my passive networks. Everything was great until I turned the engine over and litened to the most aweful and loud alternator noise I have ever heard. I am sure they would work great in the HT/Pro audio realm. In the car? Not so great. I am thinking of line drivers now to put more voltage behind them but it probably won't completely aleviate the problem.
