GRS PZ1142 Piezo Bullet Horn Driver Similar to KSN1142A
Hi! I would like to lower the volume of this tweeter around 7db, to match the sensitivity of my woofer. What kind of resistor would I need to accomplish this?
Does this replaces a POWERLINE CTS for my B-52. sR-18? It looks similar but mine comes with a protection circuit light bulb inside Thank you
If the original driver was a screw-on piezo like this it will work as a replacement, however this does not have built in protection.

Does this driver have the protection circuit that the original 1142 has (PTZ and light bulb)?
Unfortunately this driver does not have any built in protection.

what is the true RMS power of this driver, and i have a few more questions
what type of horn do i need for this tweeter? and the last one is what type of crossover do i need to get a response of 17k and up?the drivers i'm using go up to 17k so i want to know if you have a cross over that's good for that? i don't wan't over lapping frequencies
Unfortunately the manufacturer does not specify the RMS rating for this driver although it is basically irrelevant when crossing at 17k. In order to have a high pass at this frequency you will need an 8 ohm resistor across the terminals of the driver and a 1.5 uF cap in series. This will work with any standard 1-3/8" 18 TPI mount horn lens.

crossover for garage speaker
i purchaced 290-310 8" 4 ohm speaker. and Brand: Lepai | Model: LP-168HA amp. what would be the simplest effective crossover (or none) in 1cubic ft sealed enclosure with these tweeters
These do not require a crossover however I would recommend a 20 ohm 20 watt resistor in series for added protection.

Could this tweeter be attached to the Eminence Beta 8CX-8" Coax. I'm using it for a home HiFi setup.
The sensitivity of the recommended Eminence APT-50 tweeter is over 100dB, much to high for home use. Would this Piezo bullet with a sensitivity of 92db be a good match? The sensitivity of the Beta 8CX is 93dB.
Yes this uses a standard 1-3/8 18TPI mount and will work with the BetaCX models. The sensitivity should work out well.
