GRS 5SBM-8 5" Sealed Back Midrange
What size are the terminals?
I need to know whether they are 3/16, 1/4, etc so I can buy the right connectors.
I have worked with this driver on two projects this year. The positive terminal is the 0.205"The negative terminal is the 0.125"Hope this helps!P.S. Parts Express sells a very handy "speaker terminal kit" that should be in every DIY'ers arsenal ;)

Sealed Back Replacement
Can you replace this sealed back midrange speaker in a vented cabinet with a non sealed unit such as a Dayton with similar specks?
If you replace a sealed back midrange with an open back speaker you will still have to create a chamber behind the driver to prevent the woofer from distorting the cone. You can use something as simple as a dixie cup glued behind the driver for this.

Is the grill removeable? Thanks.
No, the grill is not designed to be removed. That is not to say that it absolutely could not be removed, it is simply designed to be left in place.
