Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid built, good price!Just got it in and is good for the money, solid built. Stuffed a Pyle Bluewave 10" sub in it. Does need some acoustic foam or stuffing though. SPL's are making my ears hurt LOL.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A few issues but It's okay, it's a box. What can you expect at this price (& on sale)? Bought this with a RSS265HF-4 (Reference Series 10" HF). The hole was too small for this woofer (trimmed it larger with my jigsaw). Peered inside the box. It was obvious that during assembly, only a few joints had enough glue applied that squeezed out to insure the box would be air tight, and some of those joints without squeezed out glue had a gap. Caulking a box this small (already assembled) is a pain beyond reason. So I caulked all joints, the terminal cup and the lip of the woofer. How does it sound? I haven’t installed the box in my car yet. The purpose is to go from a dual 12” woofer setup to this compact 10” setup. So I’m waiting on the buyer of my dual twelve’s. I want my trunk space back. Anyhow, I’m sure this RS HF 10” is gonna rock!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good valueI purchased this enclosure and installed a Pyle 10" Blue woofer. Then hooked up to the sub output of Lepai 2.1 2x40W Amplifier + 1x68W Sub amp. I had 2 3 way floor monitors. I play my MP3 through the system. It sounds good to 60+ year old ears all at bargin price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cost Effective Small boxFrom reading other reviews I pretty much knew what I was expecting with this box. This box's construction is solid and dressed really nice with the black carpet. The carpet is a little thin as the corners will scuff easily but enough where heavy gauge Velcro will stick too. My application was to install Dayton Audio's 10" Titanic MKIII Sub. This box needed to to enlarged 1/4" all the way around for the Titanic to fit. Not bad for any do it yourself-er. A simple saber saw (jig saw) was used. The terminals on the box are gold plated but a little to close spaced for my liking for the use of heavy gauge wire. Better to use the banana plugs rather then the screw down terminals as it was hard for me to get torque on the terminals for a good lock down. All in all this box is tight, nice styling with the slanted rear and it's smaller than my original old MTX blue thunder dual 10" box that it replaced. The goal was to obtain room in my trunk. With the 10" Titanic Sub, this little box sounds better than the pair of tens I used to have with the same wattage. The picture is a little blurry but this is the set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good, works great with Polk MM1040 10" subwooferThis box is sturdy and professional looking. I am using it with the Polk MM1040 subwoofer after stuffing the box with about 2 pillows worth of fiberfill. The box shakes slightly at loud volumes, but much, much less than the speaker cone so it does not contribute to the sound. The 5-way gold plated binding posts work well. The speaker dropped in easily and fit securely. The box looks professional, and probably costs less than what I would pay for the materials to make it (MDF, carpet covering, spray on adhesive, gold plated connectors). Do be aware that shipping adds considerably to the final cost.

What is the cubic air space of this box? I'm looking for a 2.5 ft air space for my needs.

Asked by: kikdrum73
The airspace of this enclosure is 0.85 cubic feet. We don't have any enclosures that are 2.5 cubic feet, but we do have a few 3.0 cubic foot options available.

Does one panel come off to allow speaker installation from the inside? How is speaker front opening covered?

Asked by: jimjames775
The woofer is designed to be mounted from the front, there is no way to get to the inside of this enclosure without destroying it. There are grill options available for different speakers if you wanted to cover the front for protection. The type of grill you will get will depend on the speaker you choose, some speakers we have do not have grills that will fit them.
