Goldwood GT-302 1/2" Mylar Dome Tweeter
Goldwood GT-302 1/2" Mylar Dome Tweeter is rated 3.8125 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap but failed in a minuteI have to review this just like the other tweeter that is almost the same , except for the magnet structure. All of these failed in a minute with a 15 watt per channel receiver. Find my other review on the other tweeter for details. My first dissapointment from Parts Express.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't beat the price !.....Unless you are going to use this for a very specific application, very low wattage the Mylar starts resonating (dome and mechanical) very quickly. I had to cross these over at close to 10K to get away from it. Nice if you want to add some way upper end air.Save the Mylar for the balloons

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice low cost tweeter for arraysI've used these and the shielded ones for PA use. In both cases I heat glued the leads down between them and under the magnet. Then they last and perform much better. I have them in series in pairs. I managed to get them consistently down to 3kHz with a 1st order. They couple very well in arrays to just slightly below 16k. I'm trying a 90/180 phased setup to try and correct that, but I think a real phased array would take a lot of separate high speed amps and multi-channel dsp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better Sound Than ExpectedThe tweeters in two of my speakers had open circuits, and I could not find direct replacements. These were inexpensive and certainly better than nothing, I thought. The tweeters did not completely cover the preexisting cutouts, so I removed the black plastic front parts and mounted them on the stock tweeters' mounting pieces.I can hear some high frequency distortion, but I did not properly size the crossover capacitor. My speakers sound much better now than they did with dead tweeters. The Goldwood GT-302's make a great replacement and I am pleased with their value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Tweeter, but be careful with the soldering ironI got these and I really do like them, but I held my soldering iron on one of them just a little too long and it melted the connector right off. I ordered another one to replace the one I melted , I was more careful and everything went just fine. They are a good value but just be careful with that soldering iron. I paired them with Goldwood GW-S525/8 5-1/4" Poly Cone Woofer 8 Ohm. I put them in a .25 CF box and power them with a Lepai Tripath TA2020 Class-T Hi-Fi Audio Amp w/Power Supply. It made for a very nice computer sound system at a very reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great tweeter for low power and full rangei have a little 20x2 watt amp going to two 6.5's, and two of these. they do a very good clean job with small amounts of power. i would say that they sound a little brighter than i like tweeters to be, but when i am far away from them, they seem to just sound clear and good. another thing, is that i didnt have to cross them over actively or passively. i guess if i was putting more power to them i might need to, but they sound awesome how i have everything now.

Goldwood GT-302 1/2" Mylar Dome Tweeter

Catalog says this is a 4ohm tweeter. Spec sheet says 8ohm which is it. I need a inexpensive 4ohm tweeter to match a 4 ohm woofer. Thanx Oh catalog #270-170

Asked by: danf528
This is an 8 ohm tweeter. The closest 4 ohm option I have to this would be the GRS below.http://www.parts-express.com/grs-1tm-4-1-mylar-tweeter-4-ohm--292-438

What size disconnect does this tweeter use or what would you recommend?
Asked by: MackIe
Our current stock will accept a 0.110" disconnect. I've linked this connector below for your convenience.
