Product Details

Gold Plated Dual Banana Plug Black
Dual banana plugs have been widely used in the electronics industry since early in the last century. Commonly used with test equipment, dual banana plugs are designed with industry standard 0.75" center to center post spacing. A plastic tag molded to one side of the connector is marked GND so the user can quickly identify the negative side of the connector. An integrated strain relief on one side of the connector holds the cable securely in place. Accepts up to 12 AWG cable and attaches with screw terminals so soldering is not necessary. Gold plated brass contacts will provide a lifetime of use free of oxidation.

Gold Plated Dual Banana Plug Black
Gold Plated Dual Banana Plug Black is rated 3.8571 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I neededBought these for the speakers I built and they worked just like I needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "Does Not Require Soldering" - More like Do Not Solder!I like soldering the wire prior to assembly and feel that doing so gives a softer, lower impedance connection that will resist backing out.But the set screws on these are one thread-to-few for you and if you solder the ends you will find that you cannot get the set screws to tighten. I had to cut off my freshly-soldered ends on some #12 wire back to bare wire before I could get the set screws to catch hold and tighten. Thats my only gripe.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not accept 12 gauge wireI bought these for use with 12 gauge speaker wire. The holes are big enough to fit the wire, but the set screws fall out before opening up far enough to accept the wire.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product at a reasonable cost but a little flimsy.I have several of these in both black and red which I use with my sound equipment and home theatre system. The gold plating is nice and keeps the connections clear. These are made from a softer plastic than I remember from years ago so they are a bit flimsy compared to some I've had since the 60s/70s.The real problem is the set screws work loose very easily. I have had several occasions where I was looking for a bad connection in the middle of a show, only to find the screw was loose or even missing. Now when I use these I drop a little liquid electrical tape product into the top of each hole to hold the set screw in place. That works well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy dandy...These make really handy connections to my new speaker terminals Part #: 260-283. As noted elsewhere, one of the set-screw threads was short for cable (banana plug hole drilled overly deep) solved by filing off a couple mm at bottom end of screw so it could bite a little deeper.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pretty Shallow ThreadsDon't buy these on the cheap if you intend to use 12 gauge wire. They accept up to 12 gauge wire, but it won't clamp down on it. The threading leaves very little leeway for thick wire and you have to wonder about it's staying power. I imagine they're great for 18 gauge and smaller.

Gold Plated Dual Banana Plug Black

will these fit dcm time windows T1

Asked by: Blah
While I could be wrong, I believe the DCM Time Windows use a non-standard spacing on their banana connections, and include a special connector when new in the original package. This plug will most likely not fit them, but single plugs such as those referenced below would do the job.
