Gold Binding Post Pair Insulated
Gold Binding Post Pair Insulated is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from AdequateWould have been nice to know upfront that solder wasn't going to bond to the back of the post (inside my amplifier). I need ring terminals which I could have included with my original order. As it is shipping makes these connectors expensive but I couldn't find them anywhere else. As for acquiring ring terminals after the fact, shipping would make that prohibitive. I guess I'll get them from another supplier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lower cost alternative to the high dollar posts. These save you a few dollars over the big names and still get the job done.only complaint is that the threads are course instead of fine.this will give them the tendency to come loose in time.I glued mine with contact cement.States accepts 14 gauge wire but I have doubts about that unless u drill the holes out.takes 16 gauge wire fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Binding PostI got these to use for a home made power supply and they work just great.Built good and strong, works great for my purpose.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a viable 5 way binding postThe product is stated as a 5 way binding post. It will not work with a spade lug type connection because the insulator that is wrapped around the connection plate that the lug would press against sticks out too far and no contact is made. Put your spade lug in, tighten it down, and it is an open circuit. So I was not able to use it for my application.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from not sureOkay love these because simply could not find other insulated posts. However I stripped two of the mounting nuts, mounting them onto cases.(out of eight total). Now more than likely I cranked them down too tightly.Anyway not upset about them, they work fine and was able to anchor and use them all anyhow. Just a little wary because of the strippage. For the price sure they're great-plus seems impossible to find insulated ones. But downed them a point in performance just in case because two of them stripped too easily (at the mounting nuts).Might have been my fault, not sure. Can't complain at this price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "toy like"? "will not accept 12 gauge bare wire"?these are really nice connectors. i had no problems using 12 gauge wire with them nor did the kids want to play with them. gold plated, insulated, color coded pair. at this price what more could you ask for?

Gold Binding Post Pair Insulated

What is the max size wood these will fit through and still work with ring terminals on both sides?

Asked by: moman23
The total thread length is 7/16" excluding the nut, 5/16" including the nut and washer.

...but I can solder directly to the back of the connector instead of using the nuts?

Asked by: stevescott123
You may certainly solder directly to the ends of these posts. It makes it difficult to uninstall later though.

What size ring terminal would these use to connect the wire on the back.A part number would be nice if anybody knows.I want to use these in a power supply but don't want to solder the wire to the back
