Rated 3 out of 5 by from Did Not Seem to HelpI purchased this to see if it would help stabilize the readings of an electronic scale. I put one on the 110V line from the wall outlet to the line conditioner and one on the cord from the line conditioner to the scale. It did not change the wondering readings on the scale. This is not a major issue based on the price of the item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PC MONITOR NOISE / SHADOWTwo of the three PC monitors we have in our home where showing heavy shadow effects. It was horrible. I went online and it was suggested separating the monitor power cord from video cable as much as possible. This did have an effect but still considerable shadow. I snapped one of these ferrite cores on one PC monitor cable and shadow was gone: gone I tell ya.I need to order larger diameter ferrite core for second monitor. Simple solution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful and inexpensive tweak!I buy these by the dozens and use them primarily on power cables. They easily pop out of their plastic shell, then you can tape or tie multiples around any size cable. Particularly useful on digital power supplies and cords!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An ounce of prevention is worth a pound...........I have always thought that a passive solution to a known problem was the best way to proceed. Do no harm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good buy for the price; you get what you pay for.... reasonable ferrites, but quality control is a bit lacking; a few of them just broke at the hinge when opened; others were 'not quite' 1/4 inch inside diameter.. but in general useful for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HIghl;y recommended, they work!!This one is pretty good, (I use it for smaller diameter cables) because you can take thicker cable diameter or simply coil it a couple of times and cut in noise polluting devices like refrigerators, (it works wonders on my 2 fridges though double coiled works even better),clothes washer, computers, Flatscreen TV's DVD players, ( it works wonders on all DVD players including a super $700 Samsung BluRay).Use in all digital and motor/compressor devices that produce EMI RFI into the electric mains grid, that will help all your audio and video gear sound and look better, also using it on TV's and DVD's helps them look sharper, better colors, more defined imaging etc.Don't expect miracles for a buck or two but you will be surprised of the performance difference if you pay attention.Definetely recommended!!!!Any of the other sizes as well for different power cables, etc.I use it as described also in my cable feed to my subwoofers, even then bass sounds a little tighter and cleaner, faster bass (I like that). It also works very well in the high level feed for subwoofer inputs, just clip it in the cables that go form your amp or receiver into your sub, period.A word of CAUTION, do not use it on real high end analogue components, as it will deteriorate the overall quality of the sound, could limit dynamics in your music or cause time smear on some preamps or amplifiers, though does some good things there too it takes away form the natural timbres and sounds of fine components that were probably finely tuned and voiced. I tried these guys everywhere and they are great when used in the right components and help keeo noise out form digital switching power supply components like subwoofers, tv's, DVD's Computers etc. etc.Get a few different sizes and play around with them they are outstanding investment, Best Bang for the buck period!!!I ahev been using a lot of these for the last 15 years or so and am very pleased.Hope this helps;God Bless;G.
