FaitalPRO 5FE120 5" Professional Midbass Midrange Woofer 8 Ohm
Will use this driver as a midrange in a 3-way from arround 300-3000hz. Want maximum sound quality rather than super high SPL. What enclosure volume and type will you reccomend?
Yes this will work fine as a midrange in that pass band. The enclosure size and type will not matter if crossed at 300 Hz.

What is the diffrence between the the pro 5fe120 and the pro 5fe100?
The only difference between this and the 5FE100 is an aluminum shorting ring in the motor, which reduces inductance and lowers distortion.

This speaker has quite an impedance spike at around 75 Hz producing 80 ohms Re. Would a Zobel network be useful with this small speaker? 9uF 6.75 ohms.
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to bring the peak at Fs down, this is the natural resonance of the driver. With such a low Le a Zobel is not really necessary.

Is this product designed for surface mount to the speaker enclosure, or, for install inside the speaker
This driver can be mounted either way.
