FaitalPRO 4FE35 4" Professional Full-Range Woofer 8 Ohm

FaitalPRO's 4FE35 4" professional woofer has exceptionally flat response from 90 Hz to 15,000 Hz, both on and off-axis, and features a 91 dB sensitivity due to a powerful ferrite magnet. Distortion is reduced through the use of a copper cap to create a demodulation circuit in the motor.

Great for use in compact professional line array speakers, the 4FE35 is also right at home in home audio, personal audio, and car audio applications. It's also ideal for fixed installation applications as a midbass, midrange, or full-range speaker. Made in Italy.

FaitalPRO 4FE35 4" Professional Full-Range Woofer 8 Ohm
FaitalPRO 4FE35 4" Professional Full-Range Woofer 8 Ohm is rated 4.4286 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from This could be an average mid range or tweeter.Be careful with this a full range. This is a mid range or tweeter and has very little bass. I was disappointed in the value of this one and feel I wasted my money. I am using it as a mid range but had to L pad it down as it 6 db as it is sensitive compared to my woofer. The sound quality is average for a mid range and below average for a tweeter. It kinds of reminds me of listening to AM radio when used alone, but in a three way system it sounds ok. Not my speaker of the year by a long shot. Oh well, I got an ok left speaker 3 way system in my bedroom now with this purchase. My right 2 way has a HiVi driver as a woofer and a standard dome tweeter which actually sounds better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great drivers, well engineered !!!!Just completed building a mini array (column speakers with 9 drivers per box and two box per stack) from FaitalPRO 4” 8 Ohms. I was stunning with the sound from these little drivers. They were very clear, very load and very detail. HPF - I crossed them at 110Hz and LPF started from 100Hz at a slope of 24 db. Used Crown XTI 6000 power amp to drive the stack and paired each stack with a QSC KW181. Just like Kalkipro said “you can hear it in a galaxy far far away….” The vocal sounded so sweet and warm … I just don’t have enough words to describe it and would like to share with all of you !!! It WORKS GREAT :)Thanks for the help of Scott Placke from Part Express !!!My next project will be another column speaker with two way coaxial drivers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crisp and ClearI'm using these as a midrange/tweeter in an older pair of Allison AL-115's (8" Woofers). Allison speakers are normally great sounding, but this model of Allison seems to be a real dog - great bass, but they are incredibly muddy sounding, even after fixing the tweeters and recapping the crossovers, which kick in @ 3500 Hz. After installing these and crossing them over @ 600 Hz, they now sound like they should. Very clear and crisp with lots of detail.Another feature that I particularly like - they "turn on" and very low volume. In other words, they don't seem to need a minimum amount of power to sound good in this application. In other words, they sound great at low background levels in a small room, as well as cranked up loud.FWIW, I listen to a lot of Jazz and female vocals - ie. Sarah Vaughan, Julie London, Natalie Cole etc, as well as some classic and Hard Rock

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for line array! Full range 4" speaker.I was recently at the Earth day fair in Balboa Park SanDiego. I saw and heard a Line Array sound system by Carvin that blew my mind. I called Carvin and was asking about it and they told me they used Faital Pro speakers. Well the ones in the Carvin cabs were 9 x 40 watt 3". So when I hear they also made a 60 watt 4" speaker I thought I would give them a try. I built a couple of boxes tuned to 54hz with 8 x 4" speakers in each box for a killer mini line array system that can be used as a full range stand alone PA system (vocals). When used with my home built 15" sub woofers,,... wow. The sound is incredible. And because it is a line array system you can hear it in a galaxy far far away.....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice rangeI used this full range FaitaPRO to replace a blown woofer in a 20 series Jamo bookshelf speaker. It looks a little different but fit the screw holes and cut out in the enclosure perfectly. I used the existing crossover setup and the FaitaPRO is just a little brighter and has a slight bit more clarity. The brightness may fade with break-in, I've only run them for a few hours at this point, I'm happy with the replacement.

Hi, If i want 4 drivers in a vented box what will be the volume of the box and the size of the port? thx

Asked by: Dr EDI
The recommended volume for this enclosure is 1.25 cubic feet with a 4" diameter, 1.5" long port for a tuning frequency of 72 Hz.

I want to put 16 of these in a line array column.  Assuming a 48db/Oct L-R HPF is used, what's the lowest xover point that can be used to keep the full 30/60w power rating in either a sealed or ported box?  Thanks.

Asked by: Ntrsandmann
A sealed box will be the most practical here, being about 1.7 cubic feet. The lowest I would recommend would be 150 Hz where the drivers reach excursion limits with full RMS power. 200 would be even better.

For a skinny column array of 8 drivers, what volume and port size is required? What would be the combined efficiency?

Asked by: arbor
I would recommend a high output type design which is 1 cubic foot total, with one 4" diameter, 1" long port for a tuning frequency of 85 Hz. In order to get the most from these drivers, a high pass filter is recommended at 80 Hz. The total sensitivity with the drivers in series/parallel will be 93.8 dB 1w/1m, 97.7 dB 2.83v/1m.

If I use the suggested vented box size, how big should the port tube be?

Asked by: Jwbohrer
With that volume I would recommend a 1-1/2" diameter, 1-3/4" long port.
