Iv never used a planar tweet before and am leaning toward the Dayton Audio PT2C-8 Planar . is there a notable benefit compared to a good dome? Also with 2 of these woofers vertically  placed with the tweet in the center, is c2c spacing critical?

Asked by: sal350gt
The benefits or differences between a planar and dome are entirely subjective. A pair of these woofers in an MTM arrangement would be fine, I would not be concerned about C2C distances.

OK, great. I'm some what a novice and am using these in an old Marantz receiver for a HIFI setup. 20w rms @ 8ohms. Would I benefit from separate or semi-separate chambers to compensate for standing waves? Are these sensitive enough in parallel?

Asked by: sal350
Two separate chambers will not help with standing waves, I would recommend simply using poly fill for this. Two of these in parallel with bring the overall sensitivity up to about 96-97 dB per watt which is very good, these will get plenty loud on only 20 watts.

Hello. Was thinking of using two of these per cabinet. Would I just double internal volume? And what about port size? Thanks.

Asked by: sal350gt
In order to use two drivers, you simply double the cabinet volume and the number of ports.
