FaitalPRO 3FE25 3" Professional Full-Range Woofer 4 Ohm

FaitalPRO's 3FE25 3" ceramic ferrite professional woofer has exceptionally flat response from 100 Hz to 20,000 Hz, both on and off-axis, and features a 91 dB sensitivity due to a large ferrite magnet. Distortion is reduced through the use of a copper cap to create a demodulation circuit in the motor.

Great for use in compact professional line array speakers, the 3FE25 is also right at home in home audio, personal audio, and car audio applications. It's also ideal for fixed installation applications as a midbass, midrange, or full-range speaker. Made in Italy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from CrispVery good speaker, very detailed. I am using them in a 2010 300 dash. Factory amp probally doing about 30 watts. They fit by just cutting the end of one screw hole off. Digital music need to be clean, they pick up everything. I do not need a tweeter. I normally go 3way in the car, no need with these. Need to change door speakers now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Automotive Dash Speaker UpgradeI purchased a pair of Pioneer TS-T110 7/8" Hard Dome Tweeters to fill in the upper end, though they did have a very pleasant sound all on their own. Rear 6x9's fill in the lower midbass range till where the sub picks up. Running 75w/rms per pair, truly can't complain. I would really like to take off my front door panels and custom mold some pods for true mid-bass speakers and drop the rear 6x9's all together, using all four channels up front. May not be "hifi" but for about the average price of "box store" 3 1/2" co-axials I've got some speakers that set a great sound stage and can keep up with my Rockford T1D212 & T600-2.Thank you Part's Express!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Low, even distortion levels but shrill high-endI am primarily comparing this with other 2", 3", 3.5" and 4" full rangers.Pros: high output and fairly low distortion > 300hzCons: ragged frequency response in the high endRecommend instead: The 4" version sounds and measures much better. Efficiency / power handling aside, the Vifa TC9FD-18 sounds WAY better and costs less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful SpeakersI own a Logitech Squeezebox Boom network music player. In fact, I own three of them. One of them ended up with a common problem on this device - a separation of the speaker surround. In doing research, I learned that this speaker is a "drop in" replacement for the Boom Speakers. So, I took a shot and tried a pair. I couldn't be happier. They do, in fact, drop in without modification. The specs are somewhat different but they sound wonderful. They gave my trusty Boom a new life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drop-In replacement for Squeezebox BoomBought a pair of these to replace the blown drivers on my Logitech Squeezebox Boom and they were a perfect fit with no modification required. The sound in the midrange is wonderfully sweet and detailed. These drivers do not have the low end response of the originals, but by engaging the system's integrated subwoofer crossover, they work without being overloaded. They ended up being exactly what I needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faital 3" reviewWonderful sounding little speaker. Very low audible distortion at high volume. Installed in automotive dashboard application to replace OEM speakers, crossed @ 800hz / 48db slope with over 100 watts of amplifier power.

What is the minimum bolt circle diameter?  I am assuming the maximum is 3.62" in the slotted mounting tabs.

Asked by: xwired
The center to center distance for these are 3.62". The maximum is 3.85" and the minimum is 3.38".

Is there any way to get a lower sealed F3 with a larger enclosure? Looking for 100hz in a sealed box. If so what size box? Thanks.

Asked by: BJM7
Increasing the volume will result in a marginally lower F3 but you will never be able to get a modeled F3 near 100 Hz for this driver. What the model doesn't account for is room or boundary gain. This driver should be able to reach 100 Hz without much of a problem in-room.

I want to make ported enclosure using (2) of these, can you supply the inside dimensions ? Ideally would like to reach 70Hz.

Asked by: Ho jo
I would recommend a volume of 0.194 cubic feet for both, which are internal dimensions of 11.25" x 7" x 4.25" with two 1" diameter ports that are 3" long for a tuning frequency of 76 Hz and an F3 of 70 Hz.

If I used these as in dash replacements for OEM tweeters, would it be easy enough to high pass them at say 800hz and continue to use 7 inch door drivers for 800hz and below? If so, what items would I use to do it? Thanks in advance

For a vented enclosure, what should the port length and width be ?

Asked by: Ho jo
Assuming a recommended volume of 0.1 cubic feet, the port would need to be 1" diameter and 2.5" long for a tuning frequency of 85 Hz.
