Rated 5 out of 5 by from Punchy Patorius ProducedLove these speaks. Got 'em a week or so ago, and plopped them in my homemade 2-10 cab. They deliver punchy, creamy tones over the entire 4-string range. Sign me up for a lifetime supply.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's name is the truth it is legendary! These were purchased to load the mid-bass section of a bass guitar cabinet. In this application I followed the Eminence instructions for a small sealed enclosure and then tuned using poly fill from PE.I have also used these in BFM designed cabinets. This is a VERY versatile driver. It sounds and performs well in all of the applications in which I have utilized it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacements in Carvin B210 CabinetI replaced the stock speakers in my Carvin B210 cabinet with Legend BP102s. They are very warm sounding and not overly colored like some British guitar speakers. A fine match for my setup with great clean sounds. It has been two years without any problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Correct SVT-line replacement speakerThis is the correct speaker to replace a fried driver from an SVT210HE cab, and probably the other configurations as well, but I don't have one so I didn't research that. However, the speaker mass is up a little from the original spec, so I replaced the pair, not a single speaker. I'm not sure this was necessary, but that's what I did. The result was a happy, thumpin' SVT210HE back to life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performance and ValueThis is the goods. For the price of Chinese junk, Eminence offers a quality driver that delivers. I replaced the original 4 10" in an old tube Fender Bassman 10 combo and it completely transformed the amp. The Bassman 10 was never taken seriously as a bass amp and that was a mistake; with the right drivers (the BP102) it has the low end extension and transient attack to get the job done even if underpowered for bigger venues. Some say the BP102 is not efficient (based on pubished numbers, I suppose), but that is just a misunderstanding of how efficiency is measured. These drivers put out more low frequency energy per watt than any other 10" bass guitar driver I've looked at. Eminence just doesn't cheat the spec by picking the peak output frequency vs. the average over the useful range. This is the driver you want.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good replacement bass speakersI used a pair of Eminence BP102 speakers to replace damaged Carvin PS10's in a Carvin 210 Red Eye cabinet. The new speakers are strong and toneful. They do not have as much color as a guitar speaker, but have good tone for bass guitar. The speakers are a good value and I recommend them.

How should I wire up a 4x10 cabinet with these speakers to get a 4ohm load?

Asked by: 4Low
You will have to wire these in series/parallel in order to get back to a 4 ohm load. See the diagram below.

4 or 8 ohm???

Have Eden Metro DC-210XLT. Speakers are shot. Original wiring is 2x4 ohms in series for 8 ohm load, 300 watts. Amp can handle 4 ohm load for 550 watts, so I'm thinking of 2x8 ohms in parallel - Eminence BP102's.Sound OK?
Asked by: furchtlos
This speaker is 8 ohms, so yes, two of them wired in parallel would present a 4 ohm load to your amplifier.
