from Dose the job it's intended to do - Very Well!!I’m a facility manager of a small hospital that has over 27 TVs in the various patient rooms. The original 28 year old cabling was suffering from interference from the modern wireless networking and various new pieces of medical equipment as well as age. The old system had 8 cable runs of old standard RG6 cable from the cable DMARK and in series between the TV’s were splitters with jumpers to each TV set. The TV quality was so poor that a number of channels were not even showing up on the TV’s at the end of the runs except for pure snow. I was able to cut the 8 separate cable runs down to just 4 runs of RG6 quad shielded cable with an EDA 2800 Drop Amp splitters/amplifiers on the end of each main run and then from the 8 ports on the drop amp I ran a quad shielded cable directly to the individual TV in the patient rooms. I got rid of all the little splitters and old cable. After all this our TV reception is excellent. All channels are clear and have a perfect picture. I even have extra ports left over in case we need to add a few more TV’s later on to other areas. Our patients and I are very pleased with the results.

from Performs like a dream if conditions are right...Spend lots of time researching whether an Active Splitter or an Amplifier is right for me. With 8 splits in my home an Amplifier if what I chose. Now for those who are not familiar with this Amplifier splitters. They fuction as signal booster. This means if you have any noise or bad signal to begin with you will make things worse. As in my case I have replaced all existing cable runs with all new RG6 coax all the way to the Tap. My signal was an amazing +10db. But no matter how good the singal was splitting it 8 way will degrade it severly. This Amplifier maintain my signals wonderfully and all my channels are crystal clear, even lower channels.
