Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful Little Heat GunGot this as a 'Deal of the Day' and am I happy I did!No more using lighters to shrink tubing. Never thought I'd like a small heat gun as much as this one. Sure, the cord is a little stiff brand new & the stand is a little small but, boy does it work great. Already have found many different uses for it. When this gun is on sale, buy one for yourself...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works greatI use it to shrink heat shrink tubing. For me it works better than my over kill heat gun. It heats up fast enough, gets hot enough and cools down fast.I'm glad I got it. I only wish it was a little smaller, it is bigger than it appears in the ad. No big deal though.I really do like it.

ECG HG-300D Mini Heat Gun

Is it OK to use near a PCB?

On the high setting, it looks close to the solder's melting point? Even the low setting is close to some solders. Maybe I've confused C and F?I need to remove hot melt glue from a PCB. I thought I'd warm it up to make it pliable with this heat gun. There's too much, and too thick, to scrape away.
Asked by: rif314
This should work fine for the application as long as you don't heat one area for a long period of time.

Does this product can be used in 220 Volts ?

Asked by: Samuel
I will assume this device is UL listed, and since it appears to have a standard two conductor polarized cord it is not 220V compatible (it wouldn't even fit a 220 socket). Unless otherwise specified, most electrical equipment sold here is 110 Volts. The product description will normally indicate if a unit requires, or is compatible with, non-standard voltage. Call a Parts-Express sales rep if in doubt.
