Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice deck for the moneyLacks a few bells and whistles, but all in all a good media receiver. i would recommend. Seems to have a lot of power. I am enjoying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect ReceiverI was hesitant to buy a receiver without a CD player built in, but using a 32gig card in the sim slot makes all the difference in the world for flexibility. Great receiver for the price. I installed it on a 30 foot sailboat and there is plenty of power to rock the boat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent performance and valueIt lacks nothing. I'd prefer the lighting to be red, not blue.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Receiver section died after 13 monthsTitle pretty much says it. The receiver section died after 13 months (out of warranty). The MP3 section and amplifier still work fine.Really no idea what killed it. I'm still considering risking it again since now we're familiar with the controls and the like.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not for iphoneFirst of I do like this deck. But I have a few criticisms. It does not work with iPhones. It only reads MP3 or WAV or WMA. So AIFF or AAC or MP4 encoded itunes files are not readable. Well I thought, good enough, I'll just charge my phone from the deck while it plays through the AUX. No go, it will continue to generate errors and interrupt the music that way.On the plus side, it does sound good, it has both preset eq curves and bass and treble shelving that you can adjust. Tuner is good, and the buttons are laid out well enough.I also like that when you take the face off there is a red led that looks a lot like a car alarm!I would expect a "200 watt" amp to be much louder, but I understand that nobody abides by EIA ratings anymore. I know if my 200 watt mesa boogie was plugged in it would flatten everything for blocks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't Need a Car!I bought this unit to use as an office stereo. I have it installed now, powered by a "brick" 12V power supply that used to be for a laptop computer. It sounds just as good as the 35 pound Akai stereo receiver that it replaced, and frees up a lot of space for other things. I love to put in 2G of my favorite music and set it on RANDOM and let it play all day. I like the fact that it displays the song name, album, artist etc. for each song, in case I want to know.

Will this unit output through the 4 channels as well as the through the RCA outputs simultaneously? Or do you have to select one output or the other?

Probably a stupid question but I'm new to car audio and I didn't see anything related to this in the pdf manual.
Asked by: Bobbert
It does provide output through the RCA jacks as well as the speaker outputs. The RCA jack output level is controlled by the master volume control. My car has an external subwoofer that I connected to the RCA jacks and it works very well

Is the 50w x 4 or 18w x 4?

The description says 50 and the manual says 18?
Asked by: xole
This head unit provides 18 watts RMS per channel into 4 ohms with a max output of 50 watts per channel. This is about standard for 99% of the head units on the market.

How do you use the RCA outs with a subwoofer?

Asked by: sghester
The assumption is that you have a subwoofer amplifier and a subwoofer in an enclousre. If so 90% of all car audio subwoofer amplifiers have a built in electronic crossovers to low pass the subwoofer amp (and sub itself). It is also assumed that you are using the 50 X 4 (which is really about 12 watts per channel @ 4 ohms -this is true of ALL high powered car audio radios -BTW) to drive your other speakers. If not then you need y-adaptors or an amplifier that can parallel inputs so that all channels get input signal. And again, the assumption is that this amplifier has electronic crossovers built in. Lots of assumptions, but based on the 10 word question, best that can be given
