from Great value for a factory replacementHaving a dead processor for my personal car, I decided to go back to passive components. I had a Decent set that I had thrown into my wife's Astro. In the leaky, non rigid doors, they were in less than optimum install. To steal them back, I had to find a replacement since the factory were thrown in the circular file ages ago. I came across these dual and figured for the money and the fair reviews, I'd give them a shot. For the money, I have to say they are more than a great value. Not only do they sound better than the cruddy factory did. They aren't much worse than the MUCH better components they were replacing. Am I saying that they sound as good as good components? Not at all. But in the less than optimum installs that many of us would use a sub $20 speaker in, they are just fine. Some of the cost cutting measures in these actually pleased me. For starters, there is no Styrofoam packaging. They are wrapped in cardboard, like may raw drivers when packaged. better for the planet, better for my wallet. The speaker leads they give you are also only 6" long, just enough to attach to a factory wire, eliminating 5-10' of wire that will just go in the trash. I think the only better thing would be to knock another buck off the price and not include grilles.Summary: fit gm true 6.5 opening with no mods, costs cut in right places, sound just fine for the money.

from Replacement door speakers; 93 chevy S10, STd cab.One GM OEM door speaker failed last year in the passenger side door. Due to other projects, I simply faded over to using the OEM dash speakers which work well for talk radio & local rock stations at medium listening level. After purchasing some other components for home speaker building, the Dual speakers price per pair where very tempting...so these were purchased as well with other parts.Upon receipt of these speakers, the build quality was very good for the price. The mounting hole did not line up to the ABS baffle in both doors, however this was easily remedied by drilling pilot holes in the ABS baffle to fit the new speakers. The Duals fit the OEM ABS door baffles perfectly. And the axial tweeter pod (which sticks out in front of the speaker) DID NOT make contact with the door panel grill (dry run fit check). So far, so good! The OEM speaker plug terminals were cut (1 per side) & wires stripped to solder onto the new speaker spade terminals. Note: The darker colored jacket on the wires are (-) polarity. After completion of the install & installing the door panel , the OEM radio was powered up and I was impressed. The bass is solid & the treble is crystal clear as compared to the old OEM GM door speakers. As the foam surrounds break in, the bass is becoming more predominent. The door speakers had to be equalized my cutting the bass control on the OEM radio almost all the way down & the treble control turned down also for good smooth response. They sound so good that I simply do not use the dash speakers now.For $18+, these speakers are definitely a huge performance improvement over the OEM door speakers on this old S10. The efficiency is slightly higher than the original speakers. The price can't be beat! Thanks for offering another great performance & value + product PE !

from Great price for a good speakerPut a pair in a company Astro work van that had blown speakers. We clean restaurant equipment so I didn't want to spend much. They sound good.and didn't cost much, if the radio was better I'm sure they would sound great!

from According to my friend...These speakers are ok for the car. Better than the stock Infinity speakers my friend had, at least, which isn't saying much. They do the job, and do it well, though. For the price they can't be beat, that's for sure! Again, I bought these for someone who doesn't have a PE account.
